Dr. Gerard Varlotta, DO

I've been going to Dr. Varlotta for over 20 years and am, obviously, very happy with his care and attention to my problems. He was the Doctor that diagnosed my CIDP and suggest I go to see an expert in Parkinson's Disease.

I've seen Dr. Varlotta for close to 10 years for a slipping patella and other complications. He looks at the body as a whole rather than a separate knee issue. He treats for the long run and always explains what he is doing and how you will feel. He takes his time, I never feel rushed through with him, and I'm in less pain then I was for decades before seeing him.

Dr. Varlotta has been the key instrument to having a better quality of life. I can move, walk, exercise again, have an overall normal life. I'm blessed to have him in my life and without any reservations I would always recommend him, he is amazing at his craft, he is warm, kind, caring, attentive and most of all he is a true professional and expert.

I have been seeing Dr. Varlotta for the past 9 or 10 years. I had back surgery more than 20 years ago and when my back started to cause me pain, I went to see Dr. Varlotta. Having 2 small children, surgery was not an option for me anymore. Still being relatively young, I did not want my lifestyle to change. I enjoy exercising and playing with my kids, but my back was too painful. Dr. Varlotta offered a non-surgical option that allowed my to maintain my life as I enjoyed it.

I am treated by Dr Varlotta for almost a year with great success. He is a wonderful physician. Office staff is very professional and supportive. I can recommend him highly.

I have several herniated disks and spondylolisthesis. At one point, I had ruptured a disk and had a dropped foot. Through Dr. Varlotta's guidance and enthusiastic approach, I have regained all of my sensation in my leg and I have been able to continue with my exercise and lifestyle. His suggestions have been great. I call him my "Savior" and have recommended him to many who have also come out of his office blessing me and him!

He has been very thorough and he suggested that I take these injections of the spine and of my knees. I feel he is very kind and knowledgeable. I have spinal problems that leave me unable to walk and unable sit for short periods of time. He has always given good direction in taking care of myself. Which have helped me tremendously.

He is a wonderful and caring physician who really is invested in my well being!

He is the type of doctor that kept exercise and moving although its hard to do. He always find new treatment to kept me going.

Always available to treat my pain. Helps you through without surgery using physical therapy and injections. Responsive in answering all questions and makes extra time to help me through my spinal condition.

First let me say that Dr. Varlotta is super sweet - which goes a long way in my book. But what's more important is that before I met him I had been living with terrible neck pain for what seems like an eternity. I assumed it was a permanent condition. I've now been pain free for several months and feel better than ever! I also love that his new office is in midtown. Thanks Dr. V - there are no words!
