Excellent experience from pre-op to post-op, received the best care!
My experience from the start was excellent, I was apprehensive and worried about having my carpal tunnel surgeries, however my worries were quickly not a concern with the kind and compassionate care of all of the staff at the Southington Surgery Center and of course with Dr. Andrew Nelson. Dr.Nelson reviewed what should be expected prior to surgery and also wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with having any questions answered after my surgery. I am very pleased and would highly recommend Dr. Andrew Nelson and his wonderful staff! Thank you to Dr. John Satterfield, Jess and Stephanie for your extra special touches of kindness!

Dr Nelson was awesome! He explained everything he was doing and wasas very patient I would highly reciocommend him Hewa was blable to stitch my finger up after 4 dadays instead of of the 6 hour window.

Exceptional Doctor
I had an experience that it old fashioned. Dr. Nelson saw me the same day I called and at the appointment scheduled me for surgery the next day. He was booked so he came in early to make it happen. We meet him at the office before it was opened.
He fixed my almost severed fingertip and now I'm well on my way to using it again. I was so impressed in his quality of care. I highly recommend him!

Trusted and Comforting Experience
Dr. Nelson had previously provided outstanding care and treatment for both my Son and my Wife. When it came time for me to address my Carpel Tunnel symptoms, it only made sense to entrust Dr. Nelson with my care. Dr. Nelson and his staff displayed outstanding confidence, which made me extremely comfortable with my decision to address my Carpel Tunnel ailment. The decision to choose Dr. Nelson was absolutely the correct decision for both my family and myself!

he is the most caring and compassionate doctor ever
He explained all to me before even getting my trigger finger done. I had injections one lasted 8 months second lasted months, Surgery recommended at this point and was the best decision ever. it is only 2 weeks and my hand feels great.

My experience at the Surgery Center
I felt so welcomed when I walked into the Surgery Center. Everyone was just so nice. I loved how attentive the staff was in the beginning process prior to the surgery. Even afterwards the attention was great. Whether it was a nurse or another staff member everyone was just awesome. I would recommend this office and the Surgery Center to anyone who needs this attention. The post op was a great experience too because the staff at the office helped me out with a situation, thank you.

AWESOME!!!!!
I don't know why I waited so long except to say I don't like being sick, but my hand had gotten so bad, that it hindered my function. I did my research and found Dr. Nelson. All I can say is if you have an issue, start at the top and go see Dr. Nelson. I didn't know what to expect as far as how long it would take to recover, but it was as quick as that evening of the surgery. From the Southington Surgical Center to his office staff, it was an awesome experience.

Dio not hesitate to have this surgery
I was hesitant because I would have to have both hands done but now that it's over it was the easiest surgery. I had 2 stitches in each wrist. I was able to take the dressing off after day 2 and shower. I was using my hands all along. After 3 weeks I am almost able to do everything except grip really tight. I am just amazed at how quickly the numbness went away and I was able to sleep so much better.

Carpal Tunnel issue resolved thanks to Dr. Nelson and his staff.
Deciding to have surgery is never an easy choice but working with Dr. Nelson, Michelle and his surgical team made it a very clear, straight forward and fairly painless experience. Living with Carpal Tunnel for almost 2 years it was time to resolve this issue. Dr. Nelson was clear in his diagnosis and understood right away that I knew the symptoms and had a working knowledge of my issue and what would be needed to fix it. We quickly confirmed my suspicions and solved it!

Should of done this sooner!
I had carpal tunnel surgery with Dr. Nelson in both my hands one week apart! Everyone I spoke to thought that was crazy and couldn't believe that the recovery would be as simple as explained to me.I have heard of horror stories that involved very large incisions to long and painful recovery times. This was not my experience. The procedure is less then 10 minutes and within an hour from going in I was on my way. Healing is uncomfortable but nowhere close to the pain I was living with!

Between verbal explanations and print-outs, the procedures were well explained, the surgery was successful. I was able to have the surgical procedure within 24 hours of an appt. It fit into my schedule very easily.

l received outstanding care from my initial visit, surgical experience and follow up. i received detailed information which explained every aspect of the medical intervention. Dr. Nelson and his ofiice and surgical staff treated me with the utmost respect and concern. As a retired RN, I was felt proud to be in their midst.

Top Notch
I cannot say enough about Dr.Nelson and his staff. I broke my wrist at the worst possible time. I work at a school and broke my wrist the day before Labor Day.. Dr. Nelson explained my options. One was surgery and one was a cast for 6 or more weeks. He did not pressure me either way but thoroughly explained my options. I opted to have the surgery. I am at the 6 week mark and can resume my normal activities. I could not have asked for a better result.

Excellent experience!
This is my second time that Dr. Nelson performed surgery as I had broken my other wrist several years ago. Back then and now his expertise and demeanor have been exemplary. He goes out of his way to fit you into his schedule, takes the time to be honest in his diagnosis and explanation, and he has the best staff. His therapy team knows what they are doing as well as his front line team. I highly recommend him for any procedures you may need; you will not regret it.

Dr. Nelson made this experience very easy.
When I broke my wrist, I was obviously upset. Dr. Nelson explained my options clearly and without pressure. He allowed me to make my own informed decision. Once surgery was decided upon, he explained it very clearly and was wonderful prior, during, and after. He made me feel that I was his only patient.

A gem of a doctor and staff!
From my first visit to my last, the staff and Dr. Nelson have been nothing short of amazing! They listened, provided detailed explanations, and I was very impressed by their communication. Receiving a personal phone call from Dr. Nelson after the surgery was such a nice touch, and I thought that was a great example of going above and beyond for your patients. The surgical center staff was also very attentive, and truly cared for me as a patient. I would highly recommend both places!

Professional care
I saw Dr Nelson for a problem with my rt. hand and was treated with courtesy and professional care. After trying injections and consulting with Dr Nelson I decided on CMT surgery. The surgery went as explained by him and post op care included physical therapy as well as home exercise. I am very pleased with the outcome and would definately recommend this office.

Hand feels like brand new..No regrets.
I'm 1 yr out of surgery and there's nothing i can't do with the hand I had operated on. I've had knee replacements and joint replacement and nothing has gone as well as my hand surgery..
I've never had the urge to hug any of my surgeons until Dr Nelson. Nobody better in my opinion.

Bilateral Carpal Tunnel
I've been dealing with pain in both of my wrist for about 10yrs & have been seeing Dr. Nelson for about 6yrs. I've pushed the idea of having the surgery done to the side for so many years because life and having 2 kids wouldn't give me a break to have the surgery & provide proper healing time. This passed year I got to a point that I couldn't handle the pain anymore. couldn't even hold a piece of paper without pain. The surgery was the best thing I decided to do for myself & finally pain free.

Dr.Nelson's confidence made me feel confident in his ability to successfully repair my injury. Many of my fears regarding surgery were addressed and alleviated. I appreciated his calling me at home in the evening to see how I was doing. My experience at the Southington Surgical center was a pleasant one.

Highly Recommend Dr Nelson
I, unfortunately, have had several surgeries. Dr. Nelson is Highly skilled and explains things in detail. I had very few questions and they were answered. I knew exactly what was going to happen before surgery and the followup was beyond my expectations.
