I met Dr. Hembree due to an accidental fall in March 2020 & He is the best surgeon! Very pleasant and communicated with me about the surgery and what to expect with the healing process.

Great consultation and surgery care
Dr. Hembree was a great choice for the needs of my completely torn achiles tendon. He was patient but passionate and confident in his ability to give information , best interventions and follow-up instructions. His team was cohesive and trust his leadership and guidance in his procedures and abilities also, this gave additional reassurance on my surgery date. i would recommend him for any one with foot needs

Dr. Hembree helped me to walk again
I came to Dr. Hembree in August 2020 and I was frighten because I was not able to move my ankle properly and everything hurt. I myself thought I either had a bad sprain or I messed up my Achilles tendon in some way. From my initial visit Dr. Hembree wasted no time and figured out immediately that I tore my Achilles tendon and would need surgery immediately. However he did give me other options the consisted of just PT etc. but I opted to complete surgery and PT because that was a better choice for me. I was nervous about the whole ordeal but pleased with the outcome. Dr. Hembree helped me to walk again!!! I am still currently in the healing process for a total of a year, but I am fight the good fight and get better.
Alex his NP has been awesome from surgery room to every follow-up visit and given me confidence to keep at it. Alex let me know to take my time but also pushed me to keep doing my workouts and I will get better!
Thank you Dr. Hembree and Alex! You are GREAT!

Could not have asked for a better experience!
Dr. Hembree was incredible! I had been suffering from a chronic ankle injury for over a year and a half when I first met with him. He was very confident in his diagnosis and made me feel very comfortable with the next steps that needed to be taken. He listened to all of my questions and concerns, answering them without hesitation and in detail. I felt very comfortable with his process and the care he was providing.

Everyone has been very nice and helped me with understanding the process
My experience has been very good. Everyone has been so helpful and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Hembree was very nice and made sure he answered all my questions made me feel at ease. All the Nurses have been awesome.

Dr. Hembree was professional, polite, and confident.
Dr. Hembree exceeded my expectations. I've had a nagging injury and finally sought out help to get it repaired. My ankle feels sturdier than it has in years and the scar has healed beautifully. I would recommend Dr. Hembree's care without reservation.

The Medstar Orthopedic group has been a great! I felt comfortable with the team and confident that they would be able to help, and they did. The visits are timely, professional, and personable. Outstanding care by Dr Hembree and his staff
I had been putting off getting bunion relainand a dislocated toe repair surgery for some time. I met Dr Hembree and Alex on my first visit and just liked the feeling I got after meeting with the 2 of them. I went ahead with my surgery in January 2020. My dislocated toe ended up being very stubborn about revascularizing itself so I spent the night post op. The sweet fellow or resident (I was feeling bad that first night I can’t remember which) had worked all day yet checked on my toe every hour all night long as Dr Hembree had told him to do. He would come in every hour, apologize for turning the light on and then inspect my toe. Dr Hembree stopped in to see me at 8pm before he left for the day that had started at 7am in pre op that morning. Then the next morning Dr Hembree came in and checked on me at 7 am before his day started. I was discharged on a Thursday and Dr Hembree called me over the weekend to check on me. I have never felt such a dr’s concern for my well being. Thank you❤️❤️

Knowledgeable and Kind - through the whole process
The Dr was attentive and so was his staff. Everyone was honest about progress and what I could and could not do. They did it in a manner that was comfortable and engaging. I never felt any sense of unease. Fantastic team.

Caring and compassionate
Both Dr. Hembree and Alex are wonderful. I always feel like they really care about me. We had a plan and as time progressed we had to deviate because my healing wasn't quite far enough along. It was the best decision and now I am doing great. So glad I was referred to Dr. Hembree.

Dr and staff were truly with us through the whole experience
Dr. Hembree and Alex anticipated my questions and concerns and went out of their way to make sure I knew they were there for us. The way they interacted with my teenage son was wonderful - they engaged him as an adult. The services at Harbor Hospital clinic were easily accessible. There were appointments available for him to be seen the same day. On call doctors addressed my concerns on the weekend. My son received optimal care with this team.

It was a weird but definitely positive first experience.
Dr. Hembree and co. were very helpful to me since the accident. They all made me very comfortable and didn't make me feel anxious throughout everything. It was nice and if ever I'm in such a situation I'd prefer to come back here.

Dr. Hembree saved me from a nightmare!!
Days before Thanksgiving and my birthday I broke my ankle in 3 places. While dealing with this painfully traumatic experience, Dr. Hembree and the entire MedStar Orthapedic staff at Union Memorial SAVED MY ANKLE and LIFTED MY SPIRITS.
Excellent medical service, friendly and patient staff. The entire team is very cool and professional. I would and will be recommending this orthopedic unit of excellence to everyone I know.

My experience was excellent.
