I've only had one appointment so far, but I felt he addressed all of my concerns. I was also impressed with the fact that he really took the time to listen to what I had to say about my body and didn't discount anything I thought may have been causing me trouble.

Excellent!
Always a great experience! Dr Van Kirk has great bed side manner, a fun personality! Makes you feel very comfortable, no matter what is going on with you. Great listener and attentive to your every need. Extremely informative and helpful.This will be my second pregnancy under his care, and I feel very comfortable and confident in Dr, Van Kirk's ability to take care of both me, and my baby's needs. I would recommend him to anyone seeking gyno/ OB care. Hands down, best in Redding!

At Dr. Van Kirk's office the staff is all very welcoming, and warm. I felt all my needs were met and my patient care was important to the staff. Dr. Van Kirk is very gentle and kind, he tries his best to make sure all your needs are met. I highly recommend him to any perspective patient.

Dr. VanKirk was my OB for my first pregnancy, my daughter who was born two weeks ago. He is an amazing doctor and the staff at this office is exceptional at making the process anxiety-free. With this being my first pregnancy I had no idea what to expect but Dr VanKirk answered all of my questions with compassion and I knew that my baby and I were in good hands. During delivery I felt like I had the most skilled physician possible for the job. I can't thank him and his team enough, he made me feel very safe during the most challenging experience of my life. I felt encouraged and empowered during my delivery and felt like he cheered me on as soon as he walked in the door. I can say that this is the first time in my life I had ever felt relieved when the doctor rushed in! If I ever had another child I wouldn't go to anyone but him. Thank you!

Terrific Office
Dr. Van Kirk's office is terrific! I haven't had such a friendly efficient experience at any other location. It is made very clear that he and his staff care about you and your needs. I would choose this office over any other!

I decided to switch doctors at 5 months because of different point of views and lack of compassio...
I decided to switch doctors at 5 months because of different point of views and lack of compassion for my concerns and fears. My friend and cousin who saw him said they had the same experience. His staff was very rude when I chose to switch and it took me 2 months to have my paperwork sent to 2 different doctors. I racked up 3 different hospital bills just so make sure my baby was okay because I was unable to see a doctor due to the paperwork taking so long. I will say everyone was nice and helpful until I decided to leave his office because I felt uncomfortable and had several issues that were passed of as no big deal.

One of the best Doctors in Redding
I was recommended by my insurance. After a horrific experience with another local Dr. I made an appointment with Dr. Van Kirk. He called me out on some personal issues I was having and had the compassion to listen rather than dismiss them. Its rather hard for me to "connect" to a healthcare professional in terms of comfort and trusting them. Dr. Van Kirk has been nothing short of compassion. Their really needs to be more doctors in this area that are as compassionate and guiding as he is.

Dr VanKirk is the BEST! So knowledgeable and patient with me, he takes the the time to educate me on whatever is going on with me to help me understand. I'm always assured by his knowledge and experience that I'm in the best hands. I trust him and I can't imagine if and when the day he retires what will I do then? I'm constantly giving his name out to women who are searching for the right gynecologist due to unpleasant experiences from other doctors. I have to say they go to Dr VanKirk now and are very pleased. The office staff makes you feel right at home.

Dr. Van Kirk & staff have been very good to me. I got in twice this month on the day I called with a helalth issue. His staff never made me feel like I was a bother or that it was a pain to fit me in. The second issue required surgery, and came up a week before a long anticipated (planned & paid for!) vacation. Needless to say I was in pain, stressed out, and emotional. Dr. Van Kirk has a very good bedside manner, which helped me be more calm. He spoke personally with a surgeon that day, I saw her the next day,, and had my surgery the same evening. Vacation saved! I would definitely recommend seeing Dr. Van Kirk!

Trustworthy and Very Comfortable Office
I was so skeptical about seeing a male doctor, as far as being comfortable as a woman.. But after my first visit with Dr Van Kirk all my fears went away. He is very professional and takes the time to listen to any concerns I have. His staff is THE BEST (always smiling and happy to see me). I have never had a problem getting an appointment. I refer all of my friends and family to see him. I now have 2 healthy girls! I saw Dr Van Kirk for both pregnancies. Very thankful for him and all his expertise.

Knowledgeable and kind
Van Kirk and his staff are not like any other office I've been too. His staff always remembered myself and my husband and were always willing to work with our perpetually tardy schedules.
Dr, Van Kirk himself is always smiling and forthright in his examinations and explanations. If there was ever any concerning factors to our pregnancy, he dealt with them factually and made it very easy for my husband and I to not become alarmed and stay calm. Overall, our experience with this office was amazing and i would recommend them to anyone who asked.

i suffer from ptsd with men. I am very nervous around men in general and i was so comfortable. I was at ease. It is really a milestone for me and i am very excited in feeling like i have overcome an obstical. Thank you so much for a comfortable experience. Dr Van Kirk is wonderful
I have a patient with Dr Van Kirk since 2008 when I first became pregnant. He delivered both of my children which were both c-sections. He is wonderful and very thorough in explaining everything through out my pregnancies and all my medical needs as my regular OB/GYN doctor. I would highly recommend Dr Van Kirk for your primary OB/GYN doctor.

Always Amazing!!
Dr. Vankirk always takes the time to listen, and go over things with me. His staff is just as amazing...always friendly and welcoming.
Dr. Vankirk was not able to deliver my first child, but he did deliver my 2nd and it was such a difference. The delivery was smooth and quick. He made me and my family very comfortable, and was very informative on what he was doing. I have referred friends to his office, and everyone is so thankful that I did.

Great bedside manner and cares about his patients
Dr.Vankirk is compassionate, has great bedside manner, and is very understanding. I have been a patient of his for 12 years and have never experienced a problem. His staff is just as professional as what he is. We have gone through 3 pregnancies with him. One being high risk with multiple problems. He helped guide us and inform us what was going on every step of the way. He always took time to answer any questions and spent extra time with us when we needed more understanding. Dr.Vankirk has a great sense of humor and is passionate about his job.

Dr. Van Kirk encouraged me to share all health and gynecological concerns I had without fear of embarrassment or awkwardness. He is very up to date with the latest treatments and options regarding hormones. He answers every question and finds a solution for every problem. I highly recommend Dr. Van Kirk.

Professional and Amazing
I came to Dr. Van Kirk's office thinking I needed surgery. He was able to do a different procedure in his office in minutes. The office staff was efficient and friendly. Talking with his assistant was easy and comfortable. The advice I received from another doctor scared me. I am so glad I got a second opinion, and I will be returning to this office from now on!

Great Doctor
Van Kirk's office is a very comfortable environment, the staff is wonderful and he himself really cares about the well being of his patients. He does not push ideas on his patients. He lays everything out and then lets you make the decision - it makes me feel like I am still in control of my own health. A great doctor. I have never felt uncomfortable or ignored in any way in his care.

Will never go anywhere else...
I was referred to Dr. Van Kirk by a family member 3 years ago when I found out I was pregnant with my first child. After reading countless reviews, I felt he was a good choice to help me through this very exciting journey. Best. Decision. Ever.
From the second I walked in the office, I felt comfortable. His office is bright and clean. His staff is so friendly and helpful. I'm always greeted with big smiles by all of the girls.
Dr. Van Kirk is amazing. Being a new mommy, I had countless questions and he was very patient and informative with all his answers and explanations. He is very professional but also very kind, compassionate and funny. I had some complications at the end of my first pregnancy and I 100% believe it was because of his advice and expertise that my daughter arrived in my arms safely.
I am now 35 weeks pregnant with my son and I know that I am in good hands. I wouldn't trust any other Doctor. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great OBGYN. Thank you, Dr. Van Kirk and all of his staff.

Wonderful experience!
Dr. Van Kirk and his office staff made my experience with my first child stress free! Every time I came to the office, I was greeted by kind faces and everyone seemed genuinely happy to see me. Misty was always kind and asked how I was doing by name. Trina was so caring and thoughtful!! She would ask how I was and would walk me through all my questions (even the stupid ones) with humor and kindness. Dr. Van Kirk always saw us in a timely manner, answered all questions and presented with a calm demeanor. During labor, I was lucky enough to have him there, and he brought humor, calm kindness and support and strength in just the right times. All of my follow up appointments have been just as easy and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Van Kirk and his staff!
