Great Implant Experience
I came to Dr. Tan with the need for a dental implant. He patiently explained the entire process to me and the office set up my appointment. The procedure went very well and I required an additional follow-up surgery. Dr. Tan is clearly an expert in his field and I am grateful that he was responsible for my care.

Great experience for a difficult procedure
Dr. Tan and his staff were pleasant and spent time explaining exactly what would happen and why. Even though I was apprehensive about the extractions, they made me feel comfortable and it turned out being a great experience.

If you have to endure an implant procedure, this is the place to do it.
My experience with Mid Maryland Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, PA is all positive. They are very professional in service, very informative, thorough and pleasant to work with. With my teeth, I am likely to require their services again, and this is the place I would choose to go.

Awesome Dr Tan
Dr Tan and his staff are by far the most professional and caring individuals I had the need to have a tooth pulled and I was extremely pleased with the manner it was handled I have never been to a practice with such a caring doctor and staff. It was actually an experience I thought might be painful but there was no pain at all He brings such kindness to his work and his ways were gentle and refreshing. Believe me I am so sorry to see that he is leaving for retirement, he will be missed. Thank you so much for your time, care and true understanding of how patients feel when having procedures done and expecting pain but with you there was NO pain and you explained everything and made me feel you truly cared.

Dr Tan is an awesome doctor
I've had my experiences with lousy doctors over the years. It's refreshing when you find a really good one. Dr Tan is one of those doctors. I would highly recommend Dr Tan to anyone that requires oral surgery. He knows his stuff about anything to do with oral surgery. He listens to his patients. He just really has a good doctor patient relationship. Good doctors are hard to find and when you find one like Dr Tan you stick with him.

Outstanding Doctor in and Outstanding Practice
Dr. Tan has been wonderful for our family. We have had two of our children go through the process of wisdom teeth removal with him. He saw us through from beginning to end with the highest level of professionalism and thorough care. painless and manageable
I was nervous at first but Dr. Tan was very welcoming and soothed all nerves easily. He made conversation and is fun to talk to and distracts from all the needles that may scare other people. Guided me in all the right directions to lead me to a successful recovery and had minimal pain the day after. I was back on track to normal schedule three days after surgery with no problems. I would recommend Dr. Tan and his staff to anyone and everyone.

Impacted Tooth Rescued
My teenage daughter hasn't been able to get braces due to her #4 tooth being severely impacted above her permanent teeth. We were grateful she had Dr. Tan as her oral surgeon. He had to abandon the first surgical attempt as he feared it would compromise her permanent teeth. Against her orthodontists desire - he recommended waiting to give the tooth time to descend more. His recommendation was just what was needed. Almost a year later - that tooth shifted to a safe space to be removed. Thanks to Dr. Tan - that impacted tooth has been rescued. Braces....here we come.

Wonderful and supportive

It was like it wasn't even surgery
I personally have a fairly high pain tolerance but I was rather nervous going into my surgery. I was completely sedated before he started the procedure and the next thing I remember I am sitting it my girlfriends car telling me she got my prescriptions. Later that day I received a call from Dr. Tan asking me how I felt. I felt incredible given I had just had surgery. Any amount of dull pain I did experience over the course of the next week was remedied with the medicine Dr. Tan prescribed to me. He followed up with me a week later and set me on my way! I am very pleased with how easy it was to work with Dr. Tan and will go to him for any further dental work I need.

I have gotten all four of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Tan in two separate surgeries, both times I have had great results and have healed up well, Dr. Tan and his staff always gave great instructions on what to do and expect afterwards.

Dr. Tan, and his staff were very welcoming and attentive to any needs or concerns. My tooth removal and implantation were done without pain and I was made to feel as calm as could be expected while staying awake. Dr. Tan focused on all details necessary for a successful procedure.
