Dr. Balsamo was kind and listened to me.
Dr.Balsamo allowed me to explain the problem I’m having and asked me questions to help identify what could be causing my pain. He confirmed with X-rays that I do have an issue and I am glad that I listened to my body and made the appointment to come in. Time very well spent.

Good folks all the way round.
Dr. Balsamo looked at my xray and found nothing wrong with my hips and believed the problem was with my lower back so referred me to another Dr. in the same practice who deals with lower back pain. The staff was very helpful in getting me an appointment with that Dr.

In the amount of time that I was at the appt. staff was receptive and also informative.

Best Orthopedic Surgeon Around
My son was seeing a surgeon referred by his PCP, but this orthopedic surgeon’s bedside manner left him feeling like his condition was his fault. My husband had a hip replacement with Dr Balsamo at Portsmouth Naval a few years ago and loved him, not to mention that his surgery experience and results were stellar! So on a whim, I googled Dr Balsamo and found he was now in private practice. Within a week my son had an appointment, and within 6 months, two new hips. His expertise, experience and bedside manner, along with his excellent staff and resources, have made this process seamless, from start to finish. We cannot say enough about Dr Balsamo. We are so blessed to have him
