Amazingly successful medical experience.
Living with serious hip pain is a huge issue. Being diagnosed with needing a hip replacement at 66 causes even more issues since one realizes you're putting your future in the hands of a trusted doctor. From the very beginning Dr Hochfelder provided me with the confidence that this decision was the correct one. He's a truly gifted physician.
I once again came to appreciate how important it is to entrust the right medical professional with your pending operation. This is why I returned to HVBJ.

less pain than expected
Dr. Hochfelder was very thorough in explaining the procedure which gave me confidence in him and in myself that I could carry it through. He is an excellent surgeon. Good comfort level post surgery. I would recommend him and his orthopedic group to any of my friends. He was there for me when I did have a problem. He followed through on all of my concerns. I am recovering ahead of schedule due to his surgical expertise.

Every appointment is on time. Dr. H. answers all questions and deals with all concerns. His concern for you as a patient is quite obvious.

Better than the first knee surgery!
Dr, Hochfelder takes the time to answer all questions and give all options prior to surgery. He called the day before surgery to see if I had any concerns or questions.......never have had that attention before. My surgery and recovery has been much better than the first knee replacement, which was done by another doctor. I strongly recommend Dr. Hochfelder for a knee replacement

It was painless!
I appreciate Dr. Hochfelder listening to me about the excruciating pain in my knee. He not only believed me, which established our trust right away, he explained why the pain was happening and some solutions to treating the pain. We opted for one of the three choices for the arthritis in my knee, and I feel good about his guidance. Excellent bedside manner to go along with his medical skills. Thank you Dr. Hochfelder.

Knee Surgery and recovery better than expected.
The surgery and recovery were not the ordeal I expected. Dr. Hocfelder was very caring and attentive in the entire process. I now have no pain and more mobilty.

My partial knee replacement was a tremendous success!
I was recommended to Hudson Valley Bone & Joint Surgeons by friends of the family. I live upstate and refused to go for treatment in NYC. I decided to come to Westchester Co. and seek treatment with Dr. Hochfelder, who was highly recommended. The pre-surgical appointments and the actual surgery went flawlessly. I am totally satisfied with the outcome of the procedure and with Dr. Hochfelder! His bedside manor is second to none!

Excellent information before/Exceptional Follow up
I felt like the doctor was attentive and responsive in addressing my concerns after surgery. In fact , he twice participated in a conference call with the visiting nurse and myself, even examining pictures that the nurse sent to him.

Fantastic Experience
I've been in pain for 60 years after breaking my hip as a 15 year old and as soon as I came out of that operating room I was out of pain - for the first time in 60 years. I can move my leg now like I never did before.

Dr.Hochfelder was very attentive both pre andpost surgury. Pain levels were far lower than I had expected and the healing process moved far faster than anticipated. At six weeks I had no trouble climbing three flights of stairs or walking pain free or nearly so for as far as l wished.

Dr. Hochfelder is one of the best doctors I have ever worked with.
I was extremely worried about my knees prior to meeting Dr. Hochfelder. He was and continues to be very reassuring and thorough in every step of the process, pre- and post- surgery, included. My recovery has been relatively swift and my anxieties alleviated. One could not ask for a better doctor.

One of the best orthopedic doctors I have been to.
Had knee replacement was able walk without a cane in three weeks. Dr Hochfelder explained everything to me about the surgery what to expect after and how much better I would feel with knee replacement. I highly recommend him, he very compassionate and has a great sense of humor.

I had a bilateral hip replacement on December 14.
From the first time I met with Dr. Hochfelder, I was put at ease. The doctor really listened to me and my concerns and gave me thoughtful professional feedback and advice. He even suggested I get other opinions before I made a decision.
This guy is a surgical rockstar, but the clincher for me was the way he takes time to listen and answer, never rushed--as well as his affability, down to earth demeanor and great sense of humor.
