He practiced primary care medicine with UnityPoint Clinics in Cedar Falls, Iowa, for nearly ten years, also serving as faculty for three years within the family medicine residency program, teaching and mentoring new physicians, both in clinic and hospital settings. A fun fact: Dr. Skeens graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and worked as a freelance illustrator for several years before entering medical school. Outside of medicine, he is generally found outdoors exploring new places with wife and dog, adventure cycling, running, or taking photographs. Dr. Skeens is thrilled to join Weill Cornell Medicine Primary Care and establish new roots in New York City.
