I am currently pleased with all aspects of my treatment.
I have had two knee surgeries that were performed by Dr. Carr. am currently recovering from the most recent surgery and I see daily improvement. The first surgery was approximately 11 years ago and I believe that it was a total success. My knee pain went away and I remain pain free in that knee.
The pain from the current surgery diminishes every day and I have taken no pain medication since the third day after my recent surgery. Dr.Carr and his staff seem to be professional in all aspects of my association with them. He has patience with my questions and gives me information and feedback without seeming to be distracted or rushed. He has suggested follow-up treatment and lifestyle changes that I think will be helpful for me.

Dr Carr has solved all my knee pain
Dr Carr found other problems in my knee during surgery and fixed everything. I have no more pain and walk great.

My experience with Dr. Carr was great
I was having problems with my toe and I went to see Dr. Carr for the situation. He did surgery. After the surgery, I could tell a great difference. I had problems walking, restless nights, but due to the surgery, I am much better. I would recommend anyone to Dr. Carr.

When I saw Dr. Carr about my knee injury, I was so impressed as to how well I was treated. Dr. Carr and his team was so knowledgeable and very kind to me during the whole process. I am so blessed to have recovered so well without any complications and to have had the best group to which I can trust.

left shoulder surgery
i had pain and weakness in my left shoulder for about 5 months. i was seeing Dr. Carr over the course time and finally scheduled surgery. Everything went great and recovery was easy and a success. Dr Carr and Gabby took very good care of me.

one of the best decisions I ever made!
Both hips were replaced in 2015. Immediate pain relief. Quality of life improved greatly. Zero issues since surgery. Made me wish I had done this years ago. Dr. Carr is a miracle worker in my opinion.

Rotator cuff repair.. Great experience. Pleasant staff
I made an appointment with Dr Carr after experiencing shoulder pain for over a year. I had my rotator cuff repaired. It was the best decision I have made in a long time. I feel so much better and able to do so much more more. It was worth it and I would recommend this Dr and staff to anyone!

Excellent carpal tunnel repair of both hands
Dr. Carr did an excellent job repairing my carpal tunnel on both hands. I was having pain, numbness and tingling in both hands, so bad that it would wake me up all during the night. Two days after surgery I had no symptoms and no pain at all. Two weeks recovery and stitches removed I can do everything with my hands as before. This is a very simple procedure to have done, with little down time.

Would recommend any and all to get replacement as soon and as young as possible.
These are the most responsible people that I have ever dealt with regarding what they do for a living. I thank all that was involved with my replacement. I can now do what I love. WORK!

FANTASTIC! I wished that I had done it sooner!
Dr. Carr has been fantastic through all my experiences with him, and provided me with all material and options for making the best decision for my lifestyle. I would highly recommend him to anyone with ortho related ailments.
Reminder to all that with any procedure, your degree of recovery is largely dependent upon what "you" are willing to put into it. Whether it be rehab in a clinical environment or independently on your own.
Don't wait! Get it done and be on your way to better and pain free experience!

very good overall but painful recovery.
Everyone was very good and helpful in explaining the procedure.
The first couple of weeks was very painful but it was well worth the pain to improve my quality of life. I can now walk with no pain and have no problems related to my knees.

Awesome Life Changing Experience
I had put off hip surgery for years, because of horror stories. Dr. Carr and his staff dispelled those fears by explaining everything that was going to take place during surgery, after surgery and during rehabilitation. He and his staff have truly been with me all the way. My life has truly changed for the better and I'm looking forward to having the other hip replaced in December. Can't wait to get my SEXY walk back!!!!!!!!

Excellent Surgeon, Great Staff, Excellent results after surgery!
I am 56 y/o, and was experiencing shoulder pain for over the past two years. PMH of Rheumatoid Arthritis. I went to Dr. Carr for the next steps. Living with shoulder pain and limitation of movement is very hard with raising / training horses and a demanding FT job in Emergency Services. We did the 4 joint shots and then Dr. Carr said it is time to do the Surgery. I trusted his opinion. Surgery was scheduled. After full rotator cuff repair, acromion decompression, polishing off of spurs and clavicle excision: I am no pain and full range of motion. Actually, my Phys Therapist said more range of motion than average person. Dr. Carr created the space and stopped the impingement issues. So, if you are thinking about finally fixing that shoulder, only go to Dr. Gregg Carr in Birmingham, He/his team of specialists are the BEST, you can't find this type of quality , expertise, and the best outcomes anywhere else. This office is filled with an experienced medical team
The office atmosphere is like none other I've experienced.
Happy well trained team. Each willing to take time with you and answer any questions big or small. I have been with orthopedic docs since I was 5 and Dr. Carr knows the best way to treat your problem. Surgery just might not be what you need. He's up on the latest techniques. If not he sends you to a doctor who does.

Excellent care and prompt service.

I have been with Dr, Carr since 1999. He is the best Orthopaedic Doctor.
I have had knee, ankle, shoulder and fixing to have more surgery. He is always willing to explain everything to me and he and his staff are so kind and work to find out what is going one and a way to fix it. I recommend Dr. Carr to everyone that I know. I will always use him and him alone.

Great experience, my knee feels much better.
I would choose to go to Dr. Carr with any knee issues I have in the future. He and his staff took time to listen to my symptoms prior to the procedure. At my post-op appointment, they took time to clearly explain the results of my procedure so that I could understand why I was feeling the way I was, and why it feels much better now.

Dr Carr is Awesome! He relieved my Pain
I had been experiencing pain for several years and had seen several doctors in the area. No one could explain what was wrong much less how to resolve. Then I visited Dr, Carr. Withing a few minutes of talking about my symptoms he accurately determined what was causing my pain. Now I;m 6 months post surgery and I have my life back. Not only is Dr Carr wonderful but his entire staff is caring and helpful. I'm grateful to the whole team for their help.

The Repair of a Nerve Entrapment
Dr. Gregg Carr was the fourth specialist to evaluate a claw with my right hand, which presented itself with my smallest finger and ring finger curled, as well as weakness, numbness, and tingling in the affected fingers. I am so thankful for the quick evaluation Dr. Carr gave me. The surgery for my ulnar nerve entrapment was only 30 minutes; the recovery was simple, as long as I followed Dr. Carr's directions; and my hand presented normally within two days of the surgery.

Highly recommend. Great experience
Fantastic doctor,wonderful staff. Within minutes of reviewing my chart and x-rays, Dr. Carr alerted me to a condition that I have that creates an increased chance of meniscus tears. He took the time to review my x-rays, M.R.I., and examination results thoroughly with me to make sure I understood the information. It was interesting because another highly renowned Sports Medicine Specialist missed this diagnosis just a few years ago. I highly recommend Dr. Carr.

Superb Orthopedist
I have been seen at Cleveland Clinic and was told i needed a total knee replacement. Dr. Carr saw me and diagnosed me with a meniscal tear which was a much more simple surgery and my knee is doing great. He also drained my Baker's cyst, and I am doing very well now!! No more pain. He is the best Orthopedist in the United States in my opinion!

Dr, Carr did a get job on my right knee with the meniscus.
I had a meniscus tear and arthritis in my right knee. After Dr. Carr trimmed the tear and cleaned out the arthritis , my knee with 30% better. It has been 2 weeks and my knee is lot better. I can walk on it without crutch or holding on to something.
Thanks Dr. Carr for the wonderful job you did.
