Great Caring Doctor
Originally visited Dr. Carr 17 years ago. Impressed from the beginning with how personal and caring he was. Highly recommend him and have to recommended him to many friends, family and coworkers. Wait time has increased over the years but wouldn't go anywhere else.

My experience with Dr. Carr and his staff was exceptional
The staff was very friendly and explained the procedure fully. I am very pleased with the outcome of my rotator-cuff surgery. I have had no pain and I can move my arm comfortably. I highly recommend Dr. Carr and his staff.

wonderful great doctor
dr carr repaired both my shoulders, both my hands for carpal tunnel and a trigger finger issue. y right hand is healing still but my left hand is doing much better. My shoulders are wonderful now and it has been several years. Dr carr treats my whole family. We love him

I had a knee scope done in December and am very pleased with the care provided by Dr Carr.
I had a knee scope done in December and 6 weeks out I'm doing amazing! I am able to squat down now with minimal pain for the first time in years. Dr Carr and his staff have been very attentive and courteous. They take the time to listen to any concerns and questions you may have.

Excellent job by Dr. Carr and his staff.
Dr. Carr did an excellent job with surgery for my mother! Was having so much pain in walking and bending her knee she is getting so much better! He and his staff take real good care of you when you visit him. We would like to thank everyone on the staff from Vince, Cara, Jennifer, Allyisa , Kim, and Shannon.Hopefully we didn't forget anybody. Physical therapy worked out very well at Drayer in Calera they also did an excellent job in rehab! Excellent job by Dr. Carr and his staff. Thanks very much! After years of coping with knee pain, a couple of Knee Scopes, and series of Synvisc injections, I finally had the Total knee surgery.
Both Knees were replaced within 14 months of each other, and I have experienced 100% improvement.

The staff here was wonderful from start to finish! I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Carr's office!
I came in with a pain in the back of my knee of my right leg. After a X-Ray & MRI it was established that I was going to need a Menisus repair. Once they started surgery they realized I had a torn menisus from the bone. They had to do a new surgery and reattach it to the bone and hope it forms back to the bone. After 6 weeks of non-weight bearing and 12 weeks of a brace! My knee is like back to NEW! I would like to thank Dr. Carr and his staff for the wonderful job they did with my knee and the care they took of me after the surgery!

Great Care
I came in to see Dr. Carr at his Columbiana office. I was in an ATV accident and broke my collarbone. He set me up for surgery at the Birmingham surgery center the same week I saw him. After the surgery he explained to my mother what all he had to do and what to expect and how to care for my wound. After 4 weeks off to recover i went for my check up. The site was healing so well. The x-ray of my plate and screws looked amazing. I am still impressed my the care i received from Dr. Carr and his crew. They are all so helpful with any questions and also going into detail on explaining exercises and care for what problems you have. I highly recommend Dr. Carr for any of your orthopedic need.

Dr. Carr is a patient-oriented doctor!
Dr. Carr has been my preferred orthopedic doctor/surgeon for many years. While he is primarily a surgeon he has always respected my desire to avoid surgery if at all possible. He has helped me with several issues by prescribing physical therapy and ortho devices to help with my recovery. He has a caring and compassionate demeanor and never talks down to me when explaining his diagnosis and how he came to his diagnosis conclusion. I appreciate being treated with that level of respect.

From hurt to freedom
Dr. Carr is one of the most caring providers I have had the priveledge to have known. Always asking ME how I am. Never about being hurried in and hurried out. His staff (Brenda) - exceptional always a smile and asking me how I am. From the moment I met Dr. Carr I knew I was in good hands and chose the best! I am so happy that he and his staff are here for me!

Dr. Carr was great. He made everything feel right from the beginning. I only wish I had not waited as long as I did to have the hip replacement done. 100% satisfied with everything.

I have always been pleased with Dr. Carr!
Dr. Carr has performed 2 knee scopes and an ankle surgery from where I had fallen. He put a plate and 7 screws in my ankle and after 6 weeks my ankle has healed properly with virtually no pain. The scar looks great. He has the best crew working with him. Highly recommend!!!

ACL Surgery - surgery was great and post surgery check ups went great as well.
My experience with Dr Carr was very good. He was very informative and helpful on what I needed to do to get back to my life before I tore my ACL.

Hope after a shattered shoulder socket!
After a horrible fall, I had shattered my right shoulder socket. I thought I would never be able to have full use of my arm again. I remember Dr. Carr saying it was one of the worst shoulders he had repaired. After surgery, I began a long road of recovery, but with Dr. Carr and his great staff's care and constant encouragement, slowly but surely I began to see improvement. Today, I have about 95% use of my arm. Which now at 67 is more than most of my friends who have never had any kind of shoulder surgery. Several times during the recovery process Dr. Carr graciously saw me at on short notice when I thought I was having difficulties. Along with his caring staff, they got me through a very difficult time. I always sing Dr. Carr's praises and continue to refer him to anyone who may have need for a Great Orthopaedic Dr.!

A refreshing experience
Nice to find an orthopedic surgeon who is not eager to cut on me. Another surgeon recommended surgery and Carr made me realize it was stretching I needed, not surgery.

Great experience, wonderful staff, service is excellent
Very caring. Does not rush into a diagnosis. I came in with shoulder pain and he diagnosed my carpal tunnel in both hands. Received surgery on both. I am fully recovered and the shoulder pain has gone away.

My experience was wonderful with my knee replacement. I was in constant pain and getting shots as often as I could. Since I got the knee replacement I am doing good. I would recommend him for a knee replacement.

Excellent doctor would recommend anyone to him!!
Dr. Carr has been a great doctor for me for about 2 1/2 years now. I had shoulder pain ever since I was 11 or 12 years old, I'm now 23 and am pain free. Dr. Carr performed 3 procedures on my shoulder and with each procedure it got better and better. I felt he knew exactly what he was doing and exactly what he was diagnosing since after each procedure that certain pain was gone and getting better overall little by little. I've been pain free from my shoulder for 8 months now since the last procedure he did. Since he was so successful with that I had him take a look at my knee that was giving me fits. He diagnosed it and two weeks out from surgery my knee no longer gives me fits. Dr. Carr has answered any question I have ever had, and believe me I had a lot.

Hand feels like normal now
I work in a steel mill in maintenance and was having a hard time with my left hand going numb and hurting when working. Dr Carr recommended a carpal tunnel surgery and I now have full use of my hand. I have been using tools and I have full function of my hand.

This was the first surgery I've ever had, the staff there made me feel very comfortable.

Extraordinary attention to my needs
I met Dr. Carr about 3 years ago from a referral from another doctor. My first impression was a man of excellent diagnosis and friendship. After having knee surgery under him, the follow up and other aspects of the surgery and recovery were excellent. I would highly recommend Dr. Carr for any type of surgery or any kind of problem. I have had excellent results from the surgery done on my knee and am highly pleased with the results.

Dr Carr is very detail with his analysis and diagnosis of the physical condition that is causing the pain and suffering that I have experienced.
Due to prior physical activity of running and cycling, Dr Carr performed a total hip replacement. After a short amount of time I was able to resume the cycling activity without any pain.

I couldn't be more appreciative of the care Dr Carr gave me
I couldn't have asked for better care. Dr Carr truly listened when I described the pain I was having in my foot, more specifically in my big toe. After making a diagnosis of what was causing my pain and taking the time to explain in detail the cause, he gave me information on the different treatment options available. The treatment I chose was absolutely the right one. The pain is gone!

Dr. Carr listens to you as you describe you symptoms and issues. He presents options from conservative to more aggressive.The practice makes you feel like family.

Shoulder surgery

I had ACL reconstruction (allograft) on my right knee 3 months ago and everything has gone great. I am very pleased, I have had no pain and my healing is ahead of schedule. I would and have highly recommend Dr. Carr.
