has been the most helpful doctor seen for endometriosis EVER
Dr. Leishear let me know that I have TONS of options for pain management that I never knew about. Most doctors want to treat endometriosis by surgery (which I've had two of and they weren't really helpful), while Dr. Leishear wants to look long-term into treatment.

Unexpected great results
I have been suffering with pelvic floor dysfunction for 13 years and have seen more than 10 doctors and 5 pelvic floor physical therapists during that time. My symptoms flared again in June and my PT mentioned that a new clinic recently opened in Birmingham. I called and made an appointment for an evaluation at Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine with Dr. Leishear. My experience with the initial evaluation was nothing short of stunning! She spent at least an hour with me and it was obvious that she spent the time to review all my medical history including testing done (MRIs, CTs, X-rays) and treatments (including an InterStim implant). She suggested a 4 part treatment plan to include a series of 6 weekly injections, an Rx for Lyrica & compounded suppositories, and a return to pelvic floor PT. I wrestled with the decision to have the injections, mostly because of the cost, but ultimately decided that my health was worth the money. Six months later, I feel 80% improved!

A thorough, helpful provider
Dr. Leishear was kind and compassionate throughout. She did a thorough exam and asked a lot of questions. She had a great and effective treatment plan. I've been to several doctors for this issue and this is the first time I felt real relief. All of the staff at Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine in Birmingham were great.

Nice, knowledgeable and helpful
I am very happy that I chose to come here for my pelvic treatments. Dr. Leishear is very nice, knowledgeable and amazing at what she does. She is also very patient and understanding when I have a ton of questions. I feel like my experiences with her are going to help me a lot - I feel so much better already!

successful experience!
Came to Dr. Leishear with level 10 pain! Staff was super helpful and comforting. I was very much at ease. I followed all of the steps and took Dr. Leishear's lead. I'm now at a Level 0-1 pain level!! Now the rest is on me to keep up with what I've been taught!

Great experience from start of visit to end.
Dr. Leishear is very caring, attentive, and explains everything in a way that is understandable. She listens to my issues and has good advice. She also has a gentle touch when dealing with my pain. i would recommend her to anyone with pelvic pain issues.

My symptoms were taken very seriously and I was treated with care and respect.
Dr. Leishear was very thorough with the diagnosis of the source of my pain. I was also given the education necessary to understand why I was in pain and what my treatment options were. She listened to all of my concerns and treated me with care.

The Most Faith I've Ever Had in a Doctor
Dr. Leishear changed my life. Without Dr. Leishear, I would not have been able to live a normal life. Not only did she diagnose me with conditions I previously knew nothing about, she explained them in a way that tied in with my other medical conditions. Without this diagnosis, I would be lost. Like so many others living with pelvic pain, I felt lost not knowing what I was experiencing. Dr. Leishear was able to refer me to Pelvic Rehab's mental health team, which meant I received a holistic treatment that included both body and mind. I would recommend her to anyone!

it was very validating when she said on the phone that this condition is more debilitating than chronic pain
was knowledgeable about the condition, took time to answer my questions. got the general sense that she wanted to get through the appointment. if i had not asked clarifying questions I would not have been satisfied with the initial explanation she gave me.

The entire process was patient centered and compassionate. I came to the PRM in terrible, life altering pain-physical and emotional. Dr. Leishear allayed my fears and created a treatment plan that was holistic, and multidisciplinary. The staff was attentive and informative. Every visit was timely, and thorough. I have recommended this office to many people. Thanks to all!

Amazing service that really improved my physical and mental health.
I was really struggling before I cam to PRM, but the service was so helpful it completely turned around my mindset. My symptoms have improved tremendously and I felt so cared for and supported. I couldn't have chosen a better place to get the help I needed.

a god send
I had such trouble finding the cause if my symptoms and after 2 years and every test I found PRM - My diagnosis made sense and the referral to PT made a huge change after the first visit. I continue to see my PT and do my stretches and breathing and my symptoms are nearly gone. I'm really thankful!!!!
