    Q: What made you decide to pursue your specialty?

    A: I first fell in love with cardiothoracic surgery when I was introduced to it as a surgical resident. Subsequent training confirmed my initial impression that this is an innovative and ever-evolving field, and so I committed to pursuing it. As a cardiothoracic surgeon, I feel truly privileged to have been part of the recovery process for so many patients over the years. It is both satisfying and inspiring to see my patients return to their quality of life.
