Dr. Standefer an his staff are wonderful! I did about a year of searching for the perfect doctor and decided on Dr. Standefer for several reasons. His experience, his reviews and mostly, his personal manner. In seeing so many doctors over my year of searching ,my choice also came down to the facility, the way the staff treated me and if my doctor was able to tell ME what I needed instead of ME telling HIM. Having surgery on your face is scary business. You hear all the bad stories. They made it easy. Walked me through what to expect, and assured me they were there if I needed anything.

Dr. Standefer performed my face lift procedure 3 years ago and I was so thrilled with the results that I returned to have him perform my brow lift and eyelid procedures as well. I was more than satisfied with both. What sold me on Dr. Standefer after interviewing 3 other plastic surgeons was that his hobby was photography so I knew his eye was fine tuned and that he was an artist. I felt that important. Additionally, he was completely qualified medically, having performed over 10,000 facial surgeries. His bedside manner is so comfortable and informative, answering all my questions with patience. I never felt hurried. Another BIG plus was that I didn't need to be put under for my surgery, so recovery was very quick. I highly recommend Dr. Standefer for any facial surgery!

I was so surprised of how little pain I experienced the days following surgery. Recovery was easy and I was at work on Monday - wore a cute scarf around my neck but no one had a clue. I was thrilled to be able to do oral sedation and had no recollection of the surgery. One last thing...I was impressed that Dr. Standefer never tried to over sell me on additional procedures. I did inquire about a lower face lift and he gave me the pros and cons of doing both or just doing the neck lift and ultimately agreed I could wait on the additional procedure. I really appreciated that! I love my results...even better than I imagined it would turn out.
