Good experience with Dr Hogenmiller
My time with Dr Hogenmiller was pleasant, but not so much with the phlebotomist. He was very unfriendly. He didn’t want to use a butterfly needle, nor use the vein I was used to. I was afraid I’d bruise using the lower part of my arm. I did agree to the vein he wanted and he used the butterfly. When he finished he turned around and wouldn’t speak so I got up and left. Not looking forward to my next blood draw from him.

Great
The doctor is great. I am happy with him.
However the nurse draws the blood test is not; this was the second time he made a big bruise in my arm; three days after the visit, the bruise is still there.
I have had the blood draw many times in other doctor office and labs. Your office is the only one leaving a bruise in my arm after a blood draw. I don’t want to have any blood draw in your office later on.

Follow up
Only the 2nd time I have seen Dr. Hogenmiller. (My dr retired). Dr Hogenmiller is pleasant and easy to ask questions to. He answered anything I had a question about.

He listened and answered my questions.. I believe he will help me make this transition smoothly after seeing same Rheumatologist for the past 20 years.

Easy doctor to meet with. Asked good questions. Good listener.
Dr H explained the difference between a hematologist and a rheumatologist, which I didn’t know. He is endeavoring to determine why I was referred to him and had numerous tests taken. A follow up appointment is scheduled after test results are available.

As expected
I asked questions, he listened, we discussed. This visit he showed and explained results of x-rays, therapy options and medications. It was thorough, as I expected.
The nurse however did not take my bp properly and that makes me angry. Everyone (should) know blood pressure is not to be taken with back not supported, feet not on the floor, arm supported at heart high and hanging straight down. ALL wrong yesterday! I will not allow this to happen to me again if it means my bp is not taken at all.

Perfection from Beginning to End
It’s easy to get in to see the doctor. The support staff is incredibly patient and kind. Dr. Hogenmiller exceeded my expectations on his attention to detail, accurate diagnosis and successful treatment. His tools let you access your record easily without reaching out to his office. I would highly recommend him.

Doctor is excellent, kind, patient and seems to truly care.
This is my 3rd visit with this doctor & was very good. The doctor seemed interested in my health issues and explained why I’m having new pains and new symptoms. Being an elderly woman, it’s important to me that he listened to me & was very respectful and looked me in the eye and spoke directly to me and not just to my daughter. He appeared interested in my complete health and not just rheumatology related diagnosis.

Above and beyond
Dr. Hoganmiller has an extensive knowledge of autoimmune diseases and always listens and explains the course of treatment and why. He is very good at responding to messages and has even called me after hours. Highly recommend!
