I thought his bedside manner, empathy and knowledge was outstanding
I was very anxious about the appointment. He allowed my fully vaccinated with booster husband in the room which made a huge difference to me. He talked to both of us. He was nice. He also had his nurse call immediately with my results which I very much appreciated. I totally recommend him.

An efficient and thorough experience
My original Rheumatologist retired. Wishing to remain within the Rheumatology Associates practice, I made an appointment with Dr. Hogenmiller. I found him to be well prepared and familiar with my history.

The doctor made me feel comfortable. He asked specific questions and offered advice. He was focused on my health problems and suggested what he felt necessary treatment. He didn’t pressure me for a decision on the spot. He was very polite and respectful towards me.

Calm, knowledgeable & understanding
I was having a hard time because I have a frustrating illness and my prior rheumatologist of 12 years had just retired. Dr Hogenmiller was patient and kind. This helped a great dead. Sherry, my prior rheumatologist’s nurse, was Dr Hogenmiller’s nurse for the day and this helped me a lot as well.

He effectively diagnosed me, treated it, and remembered details of my symptoms in granular detail.
He is very good at communicating the complexities of conditions with his patients. I’ve been at appointments with him for my husband and now myself. He is patient and effective making sure his patient understands the condition, medication, and actions the patient can do to improve their own condition. He consistently addresses these 3 points.

Best bedside manner of any doctor I've ever seen
I'm not used to being treated respectfully by doctors because of my autism and often strange responses to questions. But I walked out feeling respected, heard, and in good care.
