I had an excellent experience with Dr. Sloan.
Dr. Sloan and his staff were cheerful, fast and efficient. I particularly valued their commitment to medicine and their desire to provide emergency treatment for someone from out of town who they did not know, especially in the context of the current Covid 19 virus. Two other local ophthalmologists turned me down for appointments when we contacted them with symtoms of a scratched cornea. My eye is healing and I am feeling better. Thank God for Dr. Sloan and his group!

Trust him with my glaucoma and cataracts
Very positive experience with Dr. Sloan. Prior to surgery and after surgery he answered all my questions. The day of my surgery I received a follow-up call which I greatly appreciated. I will be having my second cataract surgery soon and I am more at ease. He has also successfully treated my glaucoma.

Cataract surgery right eye at Bay Microsurgical
I was referred to Dr Carl Sloan, by Dr Royal, for cataract surgery. Since I had had lasik surgery she highly recommended Dr Sloan and stated that he specializes in post lasik patients requiring cataract surgery. I am day one post op and the results are amazing! The surgery was done in Georgetown at Bay Microsurgical and the staff there was outstanding. Special shout out to nurse Mary Rose, such a caring, compassionate and excellent nurse, and expert at starting and IV!
I was so impressed with Dr Sloan I have scheduled surgery for the eye in a couple of weeks

Pleasant, prof. & clear communicator.
Have complete confidence in Dr. Sloan thus willing to travel vs seeing someone very locally. He relays your current or potential eye situation, showing your eye pictures, and is forthcoming and informative without seeming alarming. Very short wait. The staff keeps you moving with testing. They all seem to be on top of the pandemic situation with cleanliness in addition to all being upbeat and seem to work as a team. As nice an experience as a doctor appt. could be. Special mention regarding Samatha. She is a patient, good spirited soul and dealt with a nervous, older person (me) explaining her directives in a kind manner more than once for which I am grateful. Quite an asset!
