His passion for medicine led him to get his medical degree from one of the nation’s top medical schools, Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Tx. Dr. Whitlow earned multiple awards during his time at Baylor, including being in the top 10% of his class. He completed his Anesthesiology residency training at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. During residency, he developed a passion for helping patients with chronic pain and presented multiple abstracts and posters at National meetings. He developed a strong desire to obtain further specialized training in treating pain disorders with minimally invasive techniques to help patients avoid surgery and minimize their reliance on pain medications. This led him to complete his fellowship training in interventional pain medicine at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY.
