From the Time Dr. Black first took care of me I felt at ease.
I was seen by Dr. Black for a very painful hammer toe. He gave me several options to consider. One being rods put in my toes and the other taking the toe off. I happen to see an article in a medical magazine describing a possible way to take care of a hammer toe - cutting the tendon. I asked Dr. Black about this procedure and he was willing to try it. Fortunately it worked and I am no longer in pain. I really respect Dr. Black for being willing to try this procedure even though at the time he wasn't sure it would be successful in my situation. He is one very understanding and professional doctor!

HELP! I've fallen and I can't get up!

Miracle Worker and Awesome Doctor
I would so recommend, Dr. Michael Black! My foot was injured in a car accident in the '90's leaving my foot crooked, over the years my foot would cause me pain and swelling. Dr. Black worked a miracle on my foot and made it straight again. Dr. Black is a great listener, great at explaining the diagnosis and the x-rays in details that I could understand. Plus the greatest thing I ever experienced from a doctor was, Dr. Black was available to me on the weekend and after hours during recovery.

Excellent experience from start to finish
I broke my left foot while riding my bike over the weekend. Went to the doc in a box for an x-ray to confirm the foot was broken and was told to follow up with an orthopedic surgeon. I chose Dr. Black for the care or treatment.
Dr. Black was awesome; as well as the entire staff. I highly recommend Dr. Black.

Very caring, erudite, explanatory doctor.
Had 2 plates and 10 pins and screws inserted into my right foot. One year later, foot works perfectly without feeling any of the surgical corrections. Dr. Black was very empathetic but forceful in his explanations of what he was going to do. Three months of no weight bearing was initially daunting, but went quicker that anticipated. Only minor hitch was some insurance issues, but Dr. Black's staff stuck to the issues until they were solved. Five stars are not enough to describe my experienc
