Q: What made you decide to pursue your specialty?

A: Having been interested in pathogens since my high school years, I pursued training in both pediatrics and infectious diseases to better understand why children get infections and how to get them better. Infectious disease is all about medical detective work and thinking, two of the things that I am happy to spend all of my time doing.
