I connected with Dr. Ho & About Skin Dermatology in November 2014 after reviewing that year's latest issue of 5280's "Top Docs" Rankings. Upon contacting the office & learning of Dr. Cohen's lengthy wait list, I was referred to Dr. Ho...and what a fortuitous referral! While Dr. Cohen received the "Top Doc" accolade, I have no doubt that Dr. Ho will one day share the honor. As someone experiencing mild but annoying adult hormonal acne (c'mon, I'm 43 & going downhill fast!), I have tried several providers in the Denver Area since relocating here in 2010 but haven't felt completely satisfied with my care. Because my acne is mild, I have felt dismissed & have even been told, "one day you're going to wish you still looked like this." As someone that likes to joke around, I truly appreciate the humor & realize that my skin OCD is sometimes CDO, but I would rather not be dealing with acne - ever - if I can appropriately address it to the best of my ability. My most recent provider told me that he couldn't do anything more for me unless I was willing to take isotretinoin. While I am very open to treatment suggestions, that particular plan of care is of concern for me perrsonally as I have several pre-existing conditions (colitis, severe dry eyes and high LDL levels) that may be exacerbated as a result of starting isotretinoin, so I was really hoping to exhaust all options prior to this regimen. Right away I knew Dr. Ho was different as he spent at least 45 minutes with me during my initial consultation asking very detailed questions about past treatment regimens & getting a better sense of my health history. Since then, I have probably seen him an additional 7 times for pretty minor issues (small nodule cortisone injections & one annual skin check) & he is always very patient & accommodating as I usually have many questions. His staff (Amanda, Mona Rae & Winda/Wynda) also do an excellent job with follow-up (returning medical question calls, facilitating prescription refills & providing available product samples & drug manufacturer savings coupons which are a necessity these days). Will Dr. Ho ask you about your job, pets & what your summer vacation plans? Perhaps not, but if you want to get your skin issues addressed with the most up-to-date options & treatments, he is your go-to-guy!

Dr. Ho is always very thorough. He gives me optional treatments, but is't offended if I choose not to do some of them.

I have been seeing Dr. Ho for several months for pre-cancer on my face and head. Each session begins with a quick explanation of what is going to be done during the appointment along with an explanation why along with his studied opinion as to the problem(s) observed during his examination. I have seen different dermatologists with excellent reputations but have found that Dr. Ho's demeanor and approach to be superior to them.

Dr. Ho was very thorough and educated me about the importance of using sun screen all of the time. Dr Ho was very professional and I am very pleased with my results. Great personality as well.

I had not seen a dermatologist since I had had warts removed from my foot several decades ago. One day I asked my hairdresser what she thought about a particular eruption on my face. She said, "I think you should see a dermatologist" After calling my primary care physician for advice, I called "About Skin". I was assigned to Dr. Ho. At first, I found him rather cold. But he answered all my questions, some of which were quite basic. I insisted upon repeating what he had said in order to help me remember. He was quite patient. On a subsequent visit I found him much more congenial and I greatly appreciate his knowledge and professionalism. I highly recommend him.

Chronic scalp problems finally resolved after years of discomfort. Dr. Ho took the time to listen and discuss the problems instead of rushing through the diagnosis. He came up with, and explained in detail, several possible causes and solutions, from simple to complicated, and let me choose the treatment.
