AWESOME AS ALWAYS
One of a kind Dr! Honest, kind, understanding, open minded, strategic thinker, determined, optimistic, precise, great teacher, and the list goes on. Dr. Lopez has been my moms Neurosurgeon for 18 years. Her most recent hospital stay was for a Emergency VP Shunt Revision. Due to some complications (from my mom) her stay was over 60+ days and Dr Lopez brought her through it! He never ceases to amaze me. When times got tough he took the time to talk to me and reassure me that she was going to be okay. Day or night, he has been there and always with a smile ready to handle whatever our needs have been. We are definitely proud to call him our #1 Neurosurgeon!

So good that it's hard to put into words!
I was Dr.Lopes first client back in 1988; I met him when I was at John Hopkins University when I was referred for further brain treatment. He has used me as his "poster child" since coiling is no longer used for bleeding brain aneurysms. I will be forever grateful to him!

Removal of brain cavernoma
I am a very healthy and physically active 32 year old woman with no prior medical issues. In September 2019, I suffered a seizure caused by a brain cavernoma. I was referred to Dr. Lopes by my primary care doctor. Dr. Lopes resume said it all! After meeting with him he was very straight forward and had an immediate plan of action. He has performed this surgery routinely in the past and currently has multiple to perform each month. Dr. Lopes walked myself and my family through the entire procedure and recovery process. Dr. Lopes was very knowledgeable.
He is a very friendly, personable, and pretty funny guy! He checking in with me and my family pre and post surgery. The office staff and nurses are wonderful and polite. They were able to answer all of my questions and checked in often to see how my recovery was going and if I had any concerns.

Thoughtful and informative
Dr. Lopes has been my neurosurgeon since 2015 after I experienced a subarachnoid hemorrhage from an aneurysm in late 2014. He is thoughtful and takes his time to explain all options thoroughly and is patient to answer all questions asked by myself and my family. We have never felt rushed at any appointment and are grateful to be well informed. His team is also always helpful and responsive. I am grateful for the stent he placed to repair two aneurysms in 2015 and would highly recommend Dr. Lopes.

He is such a wonderful doctor always takes the time to listen and explain. He always cheer me up even when we have been filled with no hope by other doctors and people. He always knows how to reassure you with the truth. And becuase of his confidence you always feel safe.
