Happy with my upper eyelids
I had my upper eyelids "fixed" by Dr. Patel after a botched job where my lids were uneven and the lines were off. He did a great job. Glad I was sent to him: made the 8-hour drive from Montana worth it!

As a doctor with patients, I was getting comments about looking tired and worn out. It was annoying as I am full of energy.
I only had my upper lids done (I now wish I had the lower lids done too) but the difference is just amazing. I can see so much better but the way people treat me has changed. I don't get the comments I used to get. Even as a doctor who has done lots of procedures (I am not a plastic surgeon), I did not realize what a truly skillful operation can do. I never write reviews but this is one I told Dr. Patel I wanted to write. Thank you to his whole team: great team. Dena is just wonderful. So are his nurses: very caring.

Simply amazing: nobody believes I lost most of the side of my face lids and nose.
I went through a severe trauma. Dr. Patel worked through the night and after six hours told my family "we will have to see". Well, I told him if this is the result that he calls "we will have to see", I can't wait to see his other results. I am beyond happy that I was sent to the University of Utah and I was blessed enough to have Dr. Patel fix me. I cannot say enough things about this brilliant doctor. We include you in our prayers every day, Dr. Patel!

Although I find the clinics are often busy and I sometimes have a wait time, I get great care for my chronic condition
Several doctors refused to see me because I have Medicaid and a chronic condition which takes time. I sometimes wait in clinic more than 20 mins but I am glad this doctor took me as he treats me with respect and listens to me. My chronic condition is not curable but I am glad to have a caring team. Abraham is excellent in this clinic. It is clear that all the people in the clinic admire Dr. Patel and I understand why now.

I was very impatient and made a fuss in clinic about the wait. When I went home, I realized mine was a minor problem compared to what I saw in clinic and have felt bad about giving the receptionist a bad time
As I was looked after very well and a lot of time was spent with me, I am just writing this to apologize.

Went in with my droopy lids. Came out seeing better but also looking better.
Dr. Patel moved some fat to fill my deep lids and also adjusted my eyelid lines which were wonky. I am so happy.

Thank you for staying late when I was sent to you as an emergency and fixing me the same evening (night!)
I never thought a doctor would stay late into the night and fix me for a problem just because I had travelled a long distance and was seen by someone else. I thought they would make a new appointment and I would have to drive 8 hours again. My husband and I were so grateful to Dr. Patel and Mike and the junior doctor who helped fix me. We think this is the best team we have seen at the University and we have seen quite a few!Bless, bless, bless you.

It is not common for a doctor to call me at home after surgery. I got a call from Dr. Patel and from Dena in his team and when I had a slight problem, Dr. Patel himself called me back.
The real surprise was that he then called me back to make sure the problem had settled. I am not used to such personalized care with everyone so busy. I am writing this to thank Dena and Dr. patel for their care and concern. The University is truly lucky to have people like this when I get treated just like another number almost everywhere these days.

Very happy with my lids. Being Japanese-Chinese, I was worried surgeons here would not know how to do Eastern eyes surgery. But I read an article by Dr. Patel and came down to see him.
He did a great job. My sister is going to come and see him next. And my friends! Thank you for a very good experience. I was super nervous!

I came from California to have my facelift as I had heard from several people about this "great surgeon"
Well, my only complaint is I had trouble getting the date for surgery I wanted. This doctor is popular: I met two other patients from other states when I was there. But the result is excellent. My sister had a facelift and necklift in California and she has the pulled look which I don't like (but she seems to like). I look like I did many years ago and my neck actually looks better than when I was 18, so life is tra-la-la. Thank you to Dr. Patel and his team for putting up with my calls and demands!

The surgical center and the clinic people were great. Nice, caring people. Although I had to wait to get an appointment, everything was well worth it: I can understand why this doctor is busy!

Excellent surgeon. Worth the long trip from Seattle. Knows his stuff. Also has a great team. Abraham is wonderful.
Complications from my facial surgery and then trauma were terrible. My doctor suggested I go to Salt Lake City as he had heard Dr. Patel lecture. She was right: he was the right person for me. Will always be grateful to them both. Helped me more than I thought possible.

I came for a third opinion after lots of problems. I left the clinic relaxed and happy. I really liked the team at the Moran Center and Dr. Patel's explanations of everything were just what I needed. He is going to help me and I am hoping for the best but

I now know why thyroid problems are complicated. I was getting frustrated by the swelling and the double vision and the pressure and everything and over two visits Dr. Patel sat me down and explained to me the whole complicated disease and what to expect
After I read the material he gave me and showed me some things, I now understand everything can't just be cured with a pill or surgery and am being patient. I am beginning to see improvement. So thank you to Dr. Patel and his team (especially Diana) for being so patient with me.

Why don't we have more doctors like this doctor? He really knows his stuff but he is also very patient and explains things clearly
I had botched surgery and had too many operations (five). Every time someone would see me they would want to operate and I was always left worse off. I finally was very frustrated and did not want to come from Montana and drive 8 hours just to see yet another doctor but I am so glad I did. My eyes are so much more comfortable now after Dr. Patel's care and I even look better. He took his time analyzing all my procedures and planning things and I will always be grateful to him and to the University for having this great doctor.

I had to wait a while because they were busy but I love my results and the outcome of my surgery is just what I wanted. Dr. Patel's technicians told me he sees complicated patients sometimes and they can take time so be warned you may have to wait.
However, no complaints on the results!

I came to see Dr. Patel to see better but I now look so much better that people can't believe I am 76 years old. For the first time in many years I am getting compliments.
Dr. Patel did a brow lift endoscopically (?) and upper lid surgery and I can see so much better. But I look great and my wrinkles are almost gone and I love it. Thank you Dr. Patel and your wonderful team. I love your techs: they are very kind.

Nobody injects the botox for me as well as you do, Dr. Patel. I have tried five other doctors but only you get it right. It is very difficult for me to find doctors to inject me when I am in California and Florida. Can you please

Getting an appointment was difficult but I suppose good surgeons have people waiting. I was unable to get my surgery done by the Thanksgiving holiday but managed to get it done by Christmas and so far very good.

Amazed at my reconstruction!!!!
I lost my whole lower eyelid and I had no idea how Dr. Patel would be able to make me a new one. Well he did!! My friends can't even tell that this is a lid "made by Patel" because it looks so great. I am glad my doctor in Idaho sent me to this great doctor at the Moran Clinic.

Thank you for fixing my watery eye with the Jones tube
After four operations in Idaho and Oregon, I am happy that I saw Dr. Patel. He told me the advantages and problems that can arise with the jones tube but mine has worked wonderfully. I don't know how I could have carried on without this. Dr. Fornoratto was right! Dr. Patel is THE MAN! Dr. Patel: please don't go anywhere. I don't know what I would do.

I am writing this to recognize a humanitarian.
I had no insurance and a problem which had been there for some time but needed fixing. I tried to get on Medicaid but I earned too much and private insurances were too expensive. After being told unbelievable costs by three doctors, somebody I met at church told me to see Dr. Patel. He helped me fix my problem and did his surgery at no charge because it was preventing me from working. God bless you Dr. Patel. I wish there were more doctors like you in the world.

My tearing finally cured! Several unsuccessful operations in Idaho and California. Why was only Utah able to cure me?
I have thanked Dr. Fornoratto for telling me to see "this doctor I know in Salt Lake City who will give you the correct answers". That would be Dr. BCK Patel MD of the university of utah. His clinic staff are wonderful. I remember Diana and Abraham and Jill was so thorough. I have written to the University to tell them what a great team this is.

Dr. BCK Patel and Dr W. Couldwell gave me a new life
I had a tumor behind my eye and in my brain. I had headaches, I couldn't work and was depressed and also losing vision. I saw several doctors and finally Dr. Hendrix asked me to see Dr. Patel. He completely changed my life. He and Dr. Coldwell worked a miracle. I now have my vision back, no more tumor, I even got married and have a baby! God bless you both.

I love a perfectionist!
I got a beautiful result and my husband and I were both very happy with everything. When we saw Dr. Patel, he asked us to come back after five months and then he made what he called "a small adjustment". We asked him how much it would cost and he asked us why we thought it would cost anything. He said he just wanted to correct something he saw. And, well, I look even better. His assistant Dina told me he is always a perfectionist and likes to give people the best result he can. My husband I both said "all surgeons should be like him!"

My botched facelift finally fixed! THANK YOU Dr. Patel
I don't write reviews but I asked Dr. Patel if I could write to his boss. He laughed and told me his boss was his mother! So I found this site to write about my experience.
I had three facelifts by two surgeons and for the last 7 years have been afraid to go in public because I knew people were pointing at me. I felt disfigured. I had many problems including what they call pull-lines, pixie (?) ears, abnormal smile, etc.
I saw 8 plastic surgeons and they all turned me down or quoted me unbelievable prices to "try" to fix some of the changes. I met a patient of Dr. Patel's in France of all places who showed me how he fixed her and I found Dr. Patel and finally got to see him (he has a waiting list, so be warned!). Not only did he treat me very kindly, he also measured and drew everything so I understood what may be fixed and what could not be fixed. Well, when he was done, I was shocked. He fixed everything I could see and other things I was missing. I actually look beautiful!
