Always a positive experience
Dr Chen is professional, personable, knowledgeable, and most importantly he is ethical. Too many physicians today are in the profession for "the money."
I hope with his branching out into more esthetic areas that he will not lose sight of helping people with pain issues.
I also suggest he have more info/teaching available for at home help such as simple exercises, etc. He is such a good example of what proper body care/exercise can do for his patients, as he himself has had back issues, but obviously exercises. Shane, his PA is very good at what he does. He is very thorough!
Please get a BP cuff that is accurate! If it is inaccurate and you know this, it should not be charted - that becomes documentation, and can frighten a patient if it is showing a diastolic of 97, but no one is concerned or says anything! I had to ask, and the MA didn't seem to realize that was an elevated number. I usually have a diastolic between 64 - 74.

Listens and works with me to find the best solution.
Dr. Chen never makes me feel rushed or disregarded. I get cortisone shots and he is so patient with me because I get stressed. Always willing to listen and consider my concerns.

Excellent!!
I didn't have a hard time getting an appointment and the wait time was very minimal. I really feel that I was listened to and cared about and included in the decision making of my medical care. This is an excellent pain management clinic. I highly recommend Dr Chen and his group.

Shayne and team are absolutely amazing!
Shayne and staff are genuinely concerned with helping me to reach my pain goals to help me get the most out of life. Before I decided to give this provider a try, I thought that I was beyond help. I was lying in bed ready to give up on life when I stumbled across a review for Alta Pain Physicians. I read the review and figured what do I have to lose. I had my plan in place just in case they weren’t able to help me. I had basically given up and my wife begged me to give them a try. I was honest with them, told them what my previous pain management doctor had tried, told them that I was ready to die because I had dealt with the pain long enough and couldn’t take anymore. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I now have part of my life back and when I go to an appointment, I’m not looked at like I’m seeking meds. Great place, great people, I highly recommend!!

He listens to you and does not rush your appointment. He takes all the time that is necessary. His followup is beyond caring. He is there for you, no matter what.

Treats everyone like family

Shane is understanding what I want for A better quality of life
Shane is understanding and listens to my Problem with severe pain due to a lot of injuries and surgeries works with me on how to help have better quality of life to be able to do day-to-day things also being able to spend time with my family experiencing things living life out of the severe pain has helped me more than any other specialist I’ve seen in the past they listen to try to help instead of dictating procedures out of the manual the one on one individual care really makes them stand out above everyone else they have helped me tremendously and I’m very thankful to Dr. Shane and Dr. Chen

Dr Chen is absolutely fantastic
Have had chronic and debilitating pain from arthritis and degenerative disc disease. I'm a technician and need to work. Dr Chen has been accurate with his diagnosis and treatment making it possible for me to work. Fantastic job!
