Consummate, caring medical professional
Dr. Steven Glickel has taken wonderful care of my wrist following a fracture sustained in mid-October 2018. His immediate response to my injury was to allow the healing process to progress, and then determine if subsequent surgery was required for an optimal outcome. Two weeks later, surgery was necessary and my new plate facilitates a full range of motion 9 weeks post-op. If you need a hand surgeon, look no further. Dr. Glickel deserves more than 5 stars!

My experience
Excellent scheduling and payment cooperation. Good secretarial skills. Surgical facility was really wonderful and was a non-hospital (Midtown Surgery). Excellent and efficient.

tore ligament in thumb (skiiers thumb), doctor surgically repaired, helped pick OT for rehab, and monitored progress of healing. highly recommended

Saved my hands!
Dr. Glickel is an excellent diagnostician. He is not interventionist, meaning that he always pursues the least invasive cure available. His explanations helped me to understand the structure and functions of my hand and arm. The exercises he recommended were spot on. I will always work with him.

Dr. Glickel treated a broken wrist for me and a broken finger for my son. In both cases we received outstanding care.
Dr. Glickel did a wonderful job providing intelligent and compassionate care. My experience with him involved surgery for both myself for a broken wrist and for my 13 year old son who had a severely broken finger. He is a terrific doctor who modulates his approach and care to suit his patient. I strongly recommend him.

"The answer to my problem"
As you can well see, I gave a 5 star rating is all areas. I am very happy with my results. I would most certainly recommend Dr. Glickel to any family member or friend. His quality of work and talent is something that I would hope to find in any other doctor or surgeon caring for me.

Incredible doctor, incredible surgeon, incredible recovery
Dr Glickel is not only warm, knowledgeable, and a good communicator, but he is also brilliant at what he does. After my finger surgery, my physical therapist told me that she had never seen a patient recover so quickly. It has only been a few weeks since the surgery and I am already using my finger in my work fully again. I give all the credit to Dr Glickel. I wouldn't want a hand surgery by any other doctor.

Dr. Glickel's surgery and post surgical care could not have been improved upon. The professional, skilled, caring approach to all aspects of diagnosis, surgery and post surgical care led to complete rehabilitation of my thumb. I'm most appreciative of this positive experience.

Exceedingly pleasant and professional
Dr. Glickel exceeded all of my expectations as both a surgeon and an attentive listener to the specific concerns I had related to my shattered left ring finger. He managed to work treatment of my injury around a month-long trip I had planned before starting law school. I am happy to say I typed this review pain-free only two weeks after having the pins removed from my finger.

Give a hand to a great hand doctor!
It's rare that one enjoys needing to see a doctor, but when the doctor is so kind, patient and informative, it makes the visit pleasant. I highly recommend Dr. Glickel.

I have had an excellent recovery
Dr. Glickel is an excellent doctor. His honesty was encouraging, making sure I understood that nerve recovery is slow requiring patience and hard work.
He has continued overseeing my progress since I first saw him in Nov. after dislocating my elbow. After seeing me weekly and by weekly for months, he surgically released the scar tissue on my damaged nerve and sent me to occupational therapy.
After months of therapy and Dr. visits, I can do almost very activity I had lost. I am very grateful

Wonderful Treatment and Recovery
I had a longstanding injury that I saw Dr. Glickel for. He was very conservative in his approach. Ultimately, however, I did require surgery. He was excellent throughout the process. I would highly recommend him and his facility for similar situations.

I had an outstanding experience with Dr. Glickel and his team. I broke my arm, and as a professional violinist, I needed quality care on my path to recovery. Dr. Glickel was thoughtful, attentive, caring, and helped me plan my recovery and successful return to playing again. He's an expert in his field, and came highly recommended from friends and therapists whose opinions I trust. Still, he and his team exceeded expectations. The office is very well run, and the staff were also great!

A pleasant outcome for an unpleasant injury
The diagnosis was pretty clear before I came in, I had a broken wrist, but the evaluation and explanation of what needed to be done felt thorough and professional. I had surgery a week later (accommodating both our schedules) and even when I panicked that night from the severe pain the on-call doctor was able to calmly help over the phone at 3am. After that, the healing process was pretty smooth.

Dr. Glickel provides great care and attention
I had a wrist fracture earlier in the year. I went to see Dr. Glickel right away for the needed surgery. It has been a 3 month process. He has been very helpful and willing throughout the recovery process. Appointments don't feel rushed at all and he goes over all the details and answers my questions thoroughly. To top it off, his staff is great as well. They are very friendly and very willing to assist. I feel at east coming in for my appointments knowing I am in great hands of Dr. Glickel.

Couldn't be better
From beginning to end it was wonderful. Dr. Glickel is a true expert in his field, the office was run very well and my physical therapy, next door, was excellent and convenient. I highly recommend Dr. Glickel and his organization.

Reassuring, professional, knowledgeable, caring, artistic
I have been treated by Dr. Glickel for years for basal joint arthritis of the right thumb. I was very reluctant to get surgery because my hobby is guitar playing. However, when the pain reached the point where I could no longer play at at all I had no choice. The internet was filled with scary tales; pain, suffering and loss of use. Dr. Glickel was reassuring.
After 12 weeks, I began to start playing again. Today, at 16 weeks I am back to practicing 45 minutes before I need to rest.

I have total trust in Dr. Glickel
This is my second surgical experience with Dr. Glickel, the first was for a trigger finger on the same right hand, index finger Since then Dr. Glickel has treated my arthritic middle finger with steroid shots When my finger was swollen and often painful Dr. Glickel suggested surgery. All went well and we just removed the dressing from my surgical procedure. It is important to believe that one's doctor is not only a nice human being but also a superb surgeon, which is how I view Dr. Glickel.

Excellent and comfortable
I found Dr Glickel and his staff were responsive and helpful.
Dr. Glickel was honest about my condition without creating unrealistic expectations. Stressing the slowness of nerve healing, I have been comfortable with the time it has taken to get back the usefulness of my left arm and hand.

A very positive and successful wrist surgery with Dr. Glickel.
Dr. Glickel explained the issues with my wrist and thoroughly described the options open to me during my first visit.
I felt very confident having Dr. Glickel perform my surgery and would recommend him to anyone with orthopedic issues. My follow up visits and recommendation for therapy helped me to regain my range of motion in a timely manner.

Excellent Surgeon!
Dr. Glickel operated on my hand 5 and 14 years ago. When I needed surgery on my other hand recently, I came back to Dr. Glickel even though I had moved 500 miles away because I trust him and I feel comfortable with him. All aspects of my treatment were excellent--visits before the surgery, the surgery itself, and follow up visits. You might have to wait a little bit at office visits because Dr. Glickel takes enough time with you (and the previous patents). He is an excellent dr. and surgeon.

Great medical team with Great surgeon gives you the best possible outcome!
Put this together with amazing front desk crew and backroom support and you have appts that are ready for you with little on no wait-time; Filed insurance by folks who can get it done and the payments from health ins carriers and cut down the headaches/heartaches when they don't respond with clear answers to what and where and why.

Dr. Glickel is a life saver
Dr. Glickel's mannerisms and professionalism make him a great physician. During surgery everything went smooth and as expected. I have seen fellows observe with hands on examination under Dr. Glickel's supervision. I desperately needed a see an excellent physician and I found that person in Dr. Glickel.

When I came in to see Dr. Glickel my elbow was in extreme pain, he made it better, and 2 months later the pain is gone.
My right elbow was in constant pain for over one month and I was diagnosed with "golfer's elbow". I carry a lot of heavy things and apparently my tendon became inflamed. I made an appointment with Dr. Glickel, he examined me, described my condition in easy to understand terms, pointed out the range of motions that aggravated my condition and then sent me to physical therapy. I was able to change the way that I use my right arm on a daily basis, and 2 months later the pain is gone.

Superb hand surgeon, great communicator
I came to Dr. Glickel because my left hand dropped things all the time. I thought: arthritis. Wrong. I'd torn a ligament in my thumb in a fall. My right hand had pain & numbness in the thumb & two fingers & an atrophied muscle at the base of the thumb. Arthritis? Wrong. Carpal tunnel. He explained what he could & couldn't do, I had reconstructive surgery on my left thumb &, 6 months later, CT surgery on my right hand. Both hands work perfectly now. I don't have arthritis.

Excellent care
I had a mal union of a distal radius fracture. I had an osteotomy of the distal radius with bone graft and plate, with an excellant result. Highly professional from the Physician to the office staff. I would highly reccomend Dr Glickel

Wonderful experience - would recommend Dr. Glickel!
I had to see Dr. Glickel with a cyst on a pointer finger. I had previously been to another doctor who had unsuccessfully treated the cyst. Dr. Glickel was quick to diagnose that surgery was required. He thoroughly explained what the surgery would entail as well as the expected recovery. The surgery facility and staff were extremely efficient and kind and the surgery went off without a hitch. I had 2 follow-up appointments with Dr. Glickel where he took the time to answer all my questions.
