I had a very good experience with Dr. Cohen. He is very patient with me and everything worked very well.

Very compassionate, excellent surgeon, surgeries beautifully done, very minimal scarring, I was contacted the next day to make sure I was doing ok. I healed quickly.

Dr. Cohen has performed three surgeries for me. My sense is that he is very competent, and our conversations are lively during that process. He is quite open and clear in his explanations of things, and always takes the appropriate amount of time with me and never exhibits any impatience.

I have been a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years and I would recommend him to my friends, family, and patients with out hesitancy based on my positive experience. My initial Mohs procedure was performed in the middle of my face and the incision needed to be a little over an inch long. Of course, this news was very traumatic being concerned about the cosmetic appearance. Dr. Cohen was excellent at explaining the procedure and making me feel comfortable. I was offered laser to reduce the appearance of the scar but not made to feel like I had to or needed to perform laser. Laser is about $200 per session. I found after 6 months that my scar was healing so well, I did not feel I needed it. Both my friends and family really cannot see the scar in the middle of my face with or without make up. I am very thankful that I have the opportunity to be under the care of such a skilled surgeon who also has a heart for his patients. Also, from the receptionist to his assistants, they are very knowledgeable and caring. I hope you never have to experience a Mohs procedure but if you do, I would recommend one of the best.

My MOHS surgery was a complete success due to Dr. Joel Cohen. From the very beginning of my care, to the very end of my treatment Dr. Cohen was very knowledgeable, courteous, and very professional with each visit. He was very caring and treated me as if I was his only patient. I have had many compliments on my surgery and have referred them to Dr Cohen. I had Melanoma 2 and feel like Dr. Cohen saved my life. It was a long recovery and I did everything Dr. Cohen advised. I didn't run into any problems and I can't believe how good it looks even without laser treatment. Amazing results with mose and wouldn't want another surgeon if required.

I was confident and felt safe moving ahead with my surgery. I had Mohs surgery done in August of 2013. Dr. Cohen was patient with my thoughts of being frightened and nervous with the whole procedure. Dr. Cohen took his time in rebuilding my nose and talked with me when I had questions throughout the procedure. My basil cancer is gone and no one can tell I had surgery unless I mention it.

Well, it all started about 8 years ago, with the removal of Melanoma off of half of my nose. And I will never forget the excitement in Joel's voice when he called me at my hotel to tell me it was all gone and that my plastic surgeon was waiting for me to put me back together!!
