I feel much better and more active post surgery.
The provider is very thorough when explaining the surgery. He is also compassionate with the patients and their family members. I would recommend to others.

I'm glad I had my surgery because now I am not in pain.
Before getting my surgery, I was always in pain to the point that sometimes if I bent over to pick up an object, I wouldn't be able to get back up. Once I saw doctor Smith and he explained what was wrong and what needed to be done, I went ahead with the surgery and it has been such a difference. Doctor Smith explained the procedure in detail and after my surgery I was very relieved of the pain which I had before the surgery. Dr. Smith answered all my questions in detail before and after the surgery. No matter how busy he was, when I had questions about anything I was feeling after my surgery, he would answer my question right away. Thank you Dr smith and staff for being so considerate, professional, and courteous.

My experience here in his clinic was very smooth fast and friendly staff
Dr. Smith is very professional and I love that he takes his time in explaining what my problems are with my spine and answer all my questions and concerns. Never rushes out of the room, always makes sure you understand what your diagnosis is and prognosis and always makes sure what your plan will be for your care.

I was in extreme pain daily, I'm so thankful for the doctor able to help, but was always so involved in everything . I had major surgery in my neck disc replacement . On My Way Back to Normal
After PT and pain management treatments were not effective in relieving my back pain, I consulted with Dr. Smith along with two neurosurgeons to explore surgical options. Though I felt that any of the three would do a competent job, Dr. Smith went out of his way to support me in my decision-making process. He was very responsive when I had questions. I compared his minimally-invasive approach to the traditional open surgery the other two were proposing, and the result has been amazing. At my 2-week post-op follow-up, I have still some soreness as expected but by and large I am back to "light duty" around the house, taking walks, etc. There are no signs of the pain I had prior to the surgery, and as the discomfort from surgery fades, I look forward to returning to doing the things that my pain was preventing me from doing.

Dr. Smith is caring, attentive and compassionate about his work.
My has been great from my first visit. When reviewing my test results Dr. Smith spent as much time needed for my husband and I to understand the results. He offered options did not immediately tell me "you need surgery." Of course, because of my conditions surgery was the only option.
The day of the surgery Dr. Smith took time to review one more time with my husband and I the procedure. After the surgery I called him and he immediately returned my call. Dr. Smith is a blessing who has taken away my horrible pain I have been suffering for over 13 years. May God Bless you Dr. Smith, so you can continue to bring relief and happiness to many.
The staff is also friendly and helpful.

a successful procedure, excellent Doctor
i received a diagnosis that was accurate, and Dr Smith efficiently scheduled the procedure. I was off pain medication in about 8 days, and I can tell my back is much better and the nerves that were compressed are active once again. I am very pleased with the results so far, and Im excited to know my left leg will be be be strong and active again.

I came is with pain of the lower lumbar, after the 8 weeks post surgery the pain is gone. I was taken good care of and home therapy. I listened to all instructions and wound care doctor gave me. I am walking fine with no pain and no assisted devise ie. cane.
I recommend Dr Dean Smith for lower back surgery.

Dr Smith is a WONDERFUL doctor. We highly recommend him.
Dr. Smith is an excellent surgeon. I needed to have an emergency back surgery (lower lumbar fusion), and Dr. Smith was there every step of the way. He kept my family and my primary doctor informed before, during and after surgery. He made himself available. He visited me at the hospital, and he made me feel at ease. He also provided great care after surgery, and it is remarkable how far I have come at the age of 67. To illustrate how grateful we are to Dr. Smith, it was through a post follow up test that a tumor was detected in my lung. Thank God it was in stage 1, and five months later I was having another major surgery to remove the tumor. But I am blessed to be here and recommend Dr. Smith. We wholeheartedly thank Dr. Smith and his staff for their care, and for taking away the pain. May God bless you.
