Amazing experience from the day I was injured to the day I was cleared
Dr. Bassett made a really bad situation into a pleasant process. I had a ruptured distal bicep tendon and a 6 month old at home. She saw fit me in as quick as she could with a same day appointment from the injury to surgery was only limited to the time requirement of a COVID test. Along the process I stayed on track to her very specific and detailed plan and as long as I was on track she was flexible with my care plan. I hope I never have to see her again, but if I do I know that I am in great hands. Dr. Bassett is by far the best surgeon I have had as a hockey and rugby player I have had a few.

Dr. Bassett is amazing, i love that she specializes in young athletes and it was clear from the first day that I met her that she cares about her patients. She has so much knowledge and broke it down for me to understand the surgery and recovery process. I cannot thank her enough for helping me throughout this injury and I will definitely refer her to people. Thank you:)

ABSOLUTELY wonderful
came to dr bassett with horrible debilitating knee pain. MCL tear & pelligrini-stedia lesion. dr bassett was meticulous in creating a relaxing atmosphere in what should have been traumatic to some patients. i went into surgery with a big smile knowing i was in perfect, capable hands! being in a complete leg brace from groin to ankle for 2 months was a bummer but to see how far I've come has made it all worth while. the follow up appointments were positive & dr bassett kept my confidence up & kept me highly motivated to get me through. i am very grateful for all she has done.

quick, accurate and successful
Dr. Bassett quickly understood and defined the issue. She was very professional, the point of the injury, and clearly defined the steps from surgery thru therapy. I received surgery in less than a week and have made a full recovery over the last few months. Was always willing to hear my concerns and it was a great experience overall.

Dr. Bassett is the best doctor I have every seen,
I saw Dr. Bassett because I had a torn rotator cuff and needed surgery. She treats you in such a caring manner, that it makes you feel like you are one of her family members. She is highly intelligent and clearly explains all aspects of your procedure and what to expect during recovery. Dr. Bassett is thorough and concise and gives you suggests along the way to achieve an excellent outcome.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Bassett
I had an excellent experience with Dr. Bassett over the last year plus since first seeing her for a minor tear in my left meniscus. When I tore it further more recently and it was time for surgical repair, we discussed my options and were both on the same page. My surgery is now 6 weeks post, and I am free of all pain and could not be more pleased by the outcome. Dr. Bassett listened to my concerns as I have other health issues related to cancer treatments nearly 3 decades ago that needed to be factored in, and surgery and post surgery went very smoothly as those things go.

Dr. Bassett was absolutely wonderful!
I came to Dr. Bassett for a second opinion about knee surgery and immediately chose her to be my doctor and surgeon. She took her time with me and really listened to my questions and concerns. She explained every step of my treatment in great detail and was patient with all my questions. She is also a lovely person, which was also nice!

Rotator Cuff
From start to finish Dr. Bassett was highly involved with me and my injury. She presented the results well and made sure that I was going to be dedicated to the recovery as much as the Surgery. With multiple tears and injuries to fix, I found myself doing things i coulnt before the surgery within 12 weeks. As the healing progressed, and the Office visits as well, within 4 months I was no longer having pain or issues with the Shoulder. Within the last few visits, a plan was laid out and was fulfilled with me being released in 6 months. I coulnt have asked for a more professional Doctor or plan to fix and heal my shoulder.

Excellence, in patient care.
Dr. Bassett, was wonderful from my first to, last visit. I had torn my ACL and had surgery to repair it. She listened to all my concerns and answered them in away that was easy to understand. Knowledgeable & thorough—highly recommend
After a recent fall/leg injury, I found myself under the care of Dr. Bassett. She was punctual with her appointment times, thorough in her diagnosis/treatment plan and the took time to explain what needed to be done in great detail. My questions and concerns were addressed with genuine warmth. I would highly recommend Dr. Bassett to anyone!

Came in with an injured knee (pain, swelling etc.) and saw Dr. Bassett. From the start everything was fantastic. She was nice, thorough and explained everything clearly. Surgery went great all the way around including followups. Knee was fixed and feels great.

Great Exerience
Dr. Bassett was fantastic. I had fractured my tibia on the right and tore my meniscus on the left, which brought me to her office. She was so caring and compassionate, and offered viable options for treatment besides surgery. Ultimately, I required surgery, but Dr. Bassett and her team were fantastic. One year later, I am back to my old self!

I had a plica removal surgery in January. After a year, 5 different orthopedic specialist's opinions and several months of physical therapy Dr. Bassett finally figured out what was wrong and got rid of all of my pain! I has been 3 months since my surgery and I am completely pain free.

Great
I suffered a torn labrum and had Dr. Bassett repair this through surgery. She was great at explaining in detail everything that was wrong with my shoulder and how she would fix it through surgery. She was great with the follow ups and well informative!

Absolute best!
I can honestly say that my experience with Dr. Bassett and OINJ was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I met her, I felt comfortable with all of her advice and options moving forward after I tore my ACL and needed surgery. She is so knowledgeable, patient, kind and reassuring with her patients. She made me feel comfortable and at ease every step of the way. She was always there when I needed her even for the smallest question or concern.
She was also in constant communication with my physical therapist at Ivy Rehab who worked together as a team to help me regain my strength and ultimately return to the level I was at before surgery.
Although some people feel that having orthopedic surgery in the city is the best option, I can confidently say that choosing to have my surgery locally with Dr. Bassett was the absolute best choice I could have made.

i had my ac joint done on my shoulder and when i first knew about it i didnt know anything about what was going to happen but i had the surgery done and the 1 week is gonna be hard but after that it gets better now i am back at work and the arm is better then my other one that i didnt have done haha but i would totally recomend coming here to get your shoulder done

Dr. Bassett is a pro! I felt comfortable with her immediately. I could tell she had plenty of experience with knee pain as she related my experience with other patients who wanted to run. She communicates very well and we worked on a plan that we both felt comfortable with based on my goals and level of activity. During surgery I felt comfortable and had a great experience before and after. Her follow up is excellent!

The procedure I had done was to repair a tear in the long head of the biceps. The diagnosis was done very quickly and accurately using the results of an mri to determine the urgency of surgery. The mri reveal the tendon was barely hanging on by a threat to its natural attachment location and there was not fear of losing the tendon and complicating surgery. The operation went very smoothly as well as the recovery. Personally I thought that the recovery would take a lot longer. The SLAP tear was also cleaned up and feels better than prior to surgery when sleeping.

I had torn my ACL and both meniscus in high school soccer my senior year. I received ACL reconstruction surgery and my meniscus was repaired as well and I believe that with Dr. Bassett, this went as smooth as it could have possibly gone. She was very good at communicating and answering my questions whenever I had any, and after I told them that I needed to be ready for College soccer by a certain time, they worked with me to get there, doing it safely and cautiously all the time. You can tell that they really care about you here and that is something that provided me comfort especially through my long recovery. Thank you! :)

Bicep Repair
Nothing but the best from Dr. Bassett. Surgery and recovery went better than expected after not knowing anything about the injury. Dr. Bassett was very helpful with every aspect of the surgery and recovery. The recovery went smoothly with no pain at all. Strength has returned faster than expected as well. I have and would recommend Dr Bassett to all family and friends who have ailments that need to be fixed.

Bucket-handle meniscus repair-Fantastic surgeon, honest, clear communication , invested
From the second Dr. Bassett evaluated our 14 y.o. son after a baseball injury, she knew exactly what was wrong. During the first few months of Covid lockdowns, with out-patient centers just opening up again, Dr. Bassett got him into surgery within days, repaired an ugly bucket-handle meniscus tear in his knee, referred him for PRP treatment in her office , and was honest and clear about the road ahead. With a kid that wanted to get back to sports so badly, Dr. Bassett was gentle but firm -and communicated with him in a way that he couldn’t help but agree with her when it came to his health and his future.
We are forever grateful to Dr. Bassett. It’s been 7 months and our son just skied double-black diamond runs 6 hours a day, 3 days in a row on our ski trip (as 15 year olds do)!

Great
In August I separated my AC joint in my shoulder. The first week of September I got surgery and have been doing better ever since. The recovery went super smooth and was easy. 4 to 5 months later everything feels great and now I can go to school and start my career. Thank you for everything!

Learning how the achilles works
Her sports knowledge enhanced my understanding on achilles. She checked up my achilles frequently and make sure that I rehab often. She entrusted my physical therapists to help me my rehab journey and it did became successful. She wants my rehabilitation process to be slow because of her experiences with pro athletes' achilles rush rehab caused more problems and she does not want me to end up more problems. Also she recommended one shoe orthotic to improve my footwear even it has nothing to do with her. She cares my health over money. This what doctors should be. It been 10 months since surgery and now I feel better now and don't feel a pain. I can run and jump better with no pain.
