Very knowledgeable and receptive to my situation
Dr. Chen was able to listen and he explained his diagnosis and treatment he wants to pursue in a way I could understand and had very good communication skills. I recommend Dr. Chen.

Dr Chen and staff really care to find best solutions
Dr Chen was not rushed and spent time talking, listening and discussing options. He is very knowledgeable about current treatments but ultimately gave me the choice about how I want to proceed. Highly recommend.

Pain Free, excellent job!
Dr. Chen did such a great job on my hip injection. He numbed it before the shot and I felt no pain. Dr. Chen has done such a great job taking care of my pain through his procedures. Thank you Dr. Chen! May God Bless Dr. Chen and the whole medical staff at Alta Pain Clinic.

He is the Best!
Dr. Chen has aptly treated and navigated my very complex pain issues. I consider him not just the caring and friendly dr that he is, I feel like he could be anybody’s friend. I have been going for many, many years now and I love his office staff, his nurses, Shayne, and Dr Chen, who all work hard to make a person’s suffering less. I cannot think of any other Pain Clinic that compares. AAA+++

If you are looking for a doctor who will listen then Dr Chen and his staff is the place to go!
I live in Brigham and I drive to Bountiful because these guys are the best! I use to even drive to their Sandy office till they opened the office in Bountiful. I had so many doctors that just dismissed me and would never really listen and then I found Dr Chen and Dr Green. They truly are amazing and I can’t thank them enough.

Excellent!
No waiting, pretty painless procedure getting a cortisone shot in my hip. I had questions about my knee and received a clear explanation as to procedure options and quick future appointments to get me back walking regularly and stair climbing nearly painlessly. However the very best procedure done here is helping reduce and sometimes eliminate my need for the use of strong pain medications, truly a great blessing!
I definitely recommend Dr Chen and his angel associates at Alta Pain clinic.

Fast, easy, polite, friendly

I went in for my injection
At first it was fine I walked into the waiting room checked in and had to end up waiting 2 hours before I was able to go back into a room and then I had to go into another room and lay down and I was in severe pain but the doctor explained to me what was going on and made sure I was calm and comfortable when I got done yes it was very painful but it was needed never had an injection before they do hurt hopefully the next time won't be such a problem

The best pain doctor in Utah
Dr Chen, Shane Green, and their staff are fantastic. I have been treated since I moved to Utah over three years ago. I was nervous about finding a clinic that would treat my unique issues and continue with treatments that have worked for me for years. I wanted to continue to work and live a somewhat productive life. No reason for me to be disabled when with the care this clinic provides I am able to live. I can’t say enough positive things about this clinic. They have been very understanding and caring about each one of my issues and treat me like a patient. They have gone above and beyond to help me try and live a productive life through treatments that range from medications to radio ablation. I don’t ever plan on going to another doctor.
I have told many people about them because they treat me like they were treating a family member. I won’t ever recover but it sure is nice to have people that will look at all the different types of treatments to provide any type of relief.

Has always been a great with the procedures
I have been seeing Dr Chen and the onther Dr's and staff for about 11 years now and I continue to go back because of the care I have received throughout the year's and the willingness to listen to me and how the treatments and medications are working and also the no push attitude when it comes to my medication (opioids) they have suggested increasing the meds but have left the final pain management decision up to me and that alone shows volumes I their carritor.
So between dr chen and Terry Clausen I will continue to see alta pain for my pain solutions
