proof is in the a1c
I was very much skeptical of this process. I thought I had been trying hard to lose weight in the past but Dr. Shawna and her team showed me I could reach not only my weight loss goals but my a1c goal. I am excited to share this journey with my husband who also has been losing weight. My friends and family see a change in me not just the physical but the mental changes. I am feeling stronger and healthier each step.

Amazing Team!
I am so thankful for Dr. Purcell and her team. I have struggled with my weight for many years and have tried every eating plan known to man. With the help of Dr. Purcell and her team, I have not only lost weight, but more importantly I am a much healthier person. They are awesome!!

Amazing
Amazing transformation with Dr. Purcell's program. I have lost almost 50 lbs in 8 months in which 43 lbs is fat. I have just 20 lbs to go but, I look and feel 100 time better. I recommend going and seeing Dr. Purcell if you are ready to feel better. She is kind, compassionate, and really wants you to be successful. Thank you Dr. Purcell, I have struggled all my life to stay thin and to loose weight. But now it is so much easier because of you.

Dr. Shawna Purcell
Dr Purcell, has continued to work with me, which has allowed me to stop using insulin, its helped me to get my diabetes under control, and with current weight loss. I am feeling better, and its because of her knowledge and experience.

Amazing results
August 4, 2016 I started my weight loss journey. I would have never thought I would get to where I a currently am if you asked me 2 years ago. I had failed at every "weight loss" option I tried, basically starving myself to loose weight.
She has challenged me every step of the way and it has worked for me to keep me motivated. I recommend the work she does to all my friends asking me how i did and how can they change.

Life is NOW AmAzInG
I've been on my journey with CD&WL for 18 months now. I've lost 130 pounds with their assistance, guidance, and support. I'm confident that if I have a question or concern I can call them and get an immediate response. I know that my results may not necessarily be typical but if each patient follows the guidelines they are given they will make progress. Life is about choices and we have to be willing to make the choice to put our forks down and pick our feet up.

Amazing and knowledgeable!
Dr. Purcell has a wealth of knowledge and it's obvious she continues to do her research in order to give her patients the most up to date information.
I have been told by a few patients that she talks a bit fast for them but I just suggest they ask her to slow down or explain what she said because she is very open to receiving that kind of information. I think it's her enthusiasm to share with and help others that causes her to speed up. Her excitement to get the information out is infectious!

Incredibly Helpful!
Dr Purcell has helped me get on track with my weight and insulin resistance. I'm feeling better than I have in years. She's incredibly helpful, she listens and spends time with me at each appointment and truly cares about my well being and progress. I can't recommend her enough!

excellent team effort, supportive, very knowedgeable
Great diagnosis no one else caught, lost 40+ lbs & educated me. Excellent diagnostic tools, nutritional info, & great supportive team. Dr. P talks very fast, so be ready - do review your body comp info before your appt.
Dr. P makes it clear your health is your responsibility and she (& team) can & will help you. Be ready to discuss 'WHY' you may not have followed through! This may not be a practice for a 'passive' patient.
Dr. P is a very sharp, excellent diagnostic physician.

Has changed my life!
I have been seeing Dr.Purcell for 2+ years. With the direction and support of this office, I have improved my weight, A1c, fitness level and over-all health. What a blessing all the staff has been.

Simply Amazing!
Dr. Purcell and her staff are simply amazing! After a lifetime of struggling with my weight, Dr. Purcell showed me that it wasn't just eating less and moving more that was the problem. With her knowledge and medical assistance I'm down over 75 pounds and still losing and learning.

Dr. Purcell is amazing!!
I have struggled most of my adult life with my weight. I was an athlete in college and as soon as I had children, stopped playing sports regularly...BAM! I was fat!
Under Dr. Purcells's guidance and treatment, I've lost 51lbs in a year. One step at a time...one day at a time...it's about the long haul.

Life Changing
Dr. Purcell and her staff have been game changers for me. I have learned about my body in so many ways and with that learned how to listen to my body when it comes to food and gastrointestinal issues in general. I am working towards a completely different me and it wouldn't be happening without Capital Diabetes and Weight Loss Center. Definitely happy I listened when another happy patient finally sat me down and told me of her great success.

A new lifestyle of eating & not just "another diet"
The information given to me by CDWC has been life changing. I have found a way of life that not only am I losing
weight but I feel fabulous. I sleep better. The aching joints are gone. I have learned how to eat and lose weight and not feel hungry or feel deprived. This will and has become a lifestyle and not "just another diet!

Changed My Life!
I have been coming to Capital Diabetes & Weight Loss Center and seeing Dr. Purcell and the team for about a year. When I started here I was over 380 lbs now I'm at 250! The best medical support I've ever had with diabetes control
Dr. Purcell is highly skilled in educating me on the body functions of diabetes and how to support my body to completely get off insulin and bring my sugars down by eliminating body fat especially belly fat increasing muscle and lean at the same time. I'm so grateful for her turning my health around for the rest of my life and equipping me with tools and education to continue.

Can't Believe My Results
I never would have believed that I would be a completely different person in only 9 months. When I started with Dr. Purcell I never believed that I could accomplish everything that she said I could. With her guidance and support with advice and recommended reading I have turned myself around. I now listen to everything she says and concentrate on doing the best I can. Thank you for everything. This has been a life changing experience.
My experience has been a lot of hard work and reeducating my self about food and health. Dr Purcell and her team have been amazing and very supportive on my journey. I know I am not done and my journey will be for life. But during my time, I have gone from a size 22-24 pant size down to a size 8-10. I feel amazing and much happier in my life and can enjoy this with my family.
