Amazing physician
Dr. Haines helped me so much words cannot express how thankful I am. I went from debilitating pain to zero in such a short amount of time. My only regret was that I had not come in much sooner to VSI and Dr. Haines!

Best Experience
Dr. Haines is an outstanding surgeon with amazing bedside manner. He listened to all of my concerns, answered all of my questions, and eased all of fears about having having surgery. From his excellent treatment, investigative mind and ability to connect, you know exactly what his recommended next steps will be in the process. He uses visual aides to explain complicated procedures so that everyday patients can explain. My post operative care was excellent. At the first sign of concern after I returned home, his PA's were able to provide clear instructions to me over the phone for proper care. With unrelated complications after surgery, Dr. Haines, addressed the concerned, diagnostically ruled out any potential links with the surgery, and arranged for an additional overnight stay for observation with modifications to my diet for a food allergy. From the first visit, to the 3 months post operation visit, it has been amazing.

Clear diagnosis and expectations, great listening skills and I am very pleased with the outcome.
Willing to work with me on pain management and PT for symptom relief, but provided clear markers for when pain management would not be sufficient. When surgery was scheduled, addressed my concerns wrt medications and ensured the whole hospital team was in sync. Fantastic!

Dr. Haines is Amazing!
Dr. Haines has been amazing. He takes his time to explain everything and answer any questions. My surgery relieved the pain I was having in my back and gave me my ability to walk normally and complete daily activities back.

It was Miraculous!
I had so many headaches & lots of neck pain due to my cervical spine issues, as well as numbness down both my arms. With the help of Dr Haines the fusion surgery he performed on my neck I no longer have any of my neck pain or headaches. The numbness in my arms has gone from my right arm and is a lot less in my left but I've gained so much strength back & it's only been 6 months. I highly recommend him to anyone.

Excellent experience with perfect plan
A year ago I met with Dr. Haines due to a back/disc issue. Dr. Haines and his team provided excellent care and insight. The diagnostic was detailed and explained so I was able to make the right decisions based on my situation. I feel as though the recommended plan and care ensured a quick recovery and got me walking/running again quickly! Thank you for everything!

Professional, knowledgeable and compassionate.
I heard from a friend at work about Dr. Haines and what a great experience they had and knowing my neck and back problems referred me. From day one making the phone call it has been like no other doctor I have ever been with. The staff from bottom to top are so helpful. In a very short time I had my assessment and was prepped for surgery. Dr. Haines even called me from home, which has never happened to me in my life, to reassure me when I had doubts. I am now three months later and pain free for the first time in years!!! If you have a chance give them a call. You won't regret it!

I went from acute spine pain to full recovery.
Dr. Haines is an amazing physician who immediately diagnosed my serious spinal disk issues. He was open to alternate treatments but when nothing worked he helped me through a very difficult surgery. He was attentive and made sure I was well cared for, but most importantly he completely repaired my disks.
I am feeling great and would highly recommend Dr. Haines.

dr haines was the only doctor willing to help me
went to multiple orthopedics and nopne of them wanted to help my condition. dr haines treated my condition and also found other things that were wrong with my body and fixed those as well

Exceptional and life changing experience
After suffering for so long and unsuccessful results from conservative efforts, surgery was the only option left other than living with pain and limitations. Dr. Haines walked me through the procedure and the surgery dates were set. Two surgeries two days apart. Amazing results. Immediately, the pain was gone and all I had to tackle was the minimal pain from the small incisions. A few days later, despite major surgery, I was up and walking. This was the most life changing surgery and I owe it to Dr. Haines and his amazing staff. Not only was the surgical plan spot on, it is clear that Dr. Haines and everyone at VSI cares about each patient . Dr. Haines, thank you! You are amazing!

OUTSTANDING!
I was in severe pain when I came to VSI. I was quickly diagnosed and was understandably uncomfortable with the prospect of disc fusion and replacement surgery. Dr. Haines is a consummate professional, taking as much time as I needed to answer questions and making me comfortable with the procedure and process. Three months later I am pain-free. I cannot say enough positive about Dr. Haines and the entire VSI staff.

My headline is that I have no sciatic nerve pain at all - two weeks after surgery!!!!
Dr. Haines is a top notch professional that I would recommend to anyone!!! He was so fast at diagnosing all of my back issues, coming up with a plan and executing that plan with wonderful results. Bravo to Dr. Haines and Virginia Spine!!!

The best surgical experience I've ever had

Empathetic, professional and successful!
Every team member made me feel confident and that I was more than just a guy in pain but rather an individual who needed special care with the goal of getting back to normal. All went well and I never felt it would be otherwise.
