Outstanding Doctor!!!
I see Dr. W. Byrd every 3 months for knee injections. I have a very busy schedule and he is always very accommodating, courteous and professional. He goes above and beyond, especially with helping me deal with my Insurance.

Great Provider
Dr. Byrd is a great listener and thoroughly explained the results of my MRI. Although I surgery wasn't what I wanted to hear, he gave me available options and allowed me to choose the direction of my care. His demeanor was very positive, and I tdidn't feel like the appointment was rushed or he was annoyed with my questions. I trust I'm in good hands when it's time for my actual surgery.

My appointments with AOS are always a pleasant experience so far as any doctor appointment goes. I don't know anyone that is anxious to go a doctor! The whole staff that I deal with is caring and considerate. Dr. Byrd always listens and explains things clearly!

2 TKR's 6 months apart, all is well
Dr. Byrd displayed good judgement in that I expressed the desire for both knees to be done simultaneously. In retrospect, that would have been a mistake, at least for me. Did the 1st one & ultimately waited 6 months to do the 2nd one. Looking back, I needed the recovery time. It was the right call. After the 2nd knee, which was a revision, I wanted to go home that night as usual. Instead, I spent 2 nights in hospital. Again, the right call, looking back on it. The 2nd knee was more painful & problematic at first, being a revision, and being pain managed & supervised in hospital for that 2 nights was the right call for me. 7months out on one & 8wks on the other, all is well.

Dr Byrd was very professional, did an amazing job with my hip replacement. I am once again doing things I love, golfing biking walking and swimming. I would highly recommend him, his staff and the rehabilitation staff

Dr. Byrd listens to my complaints & gives me the answers I need to hear. I trust Dr. Byrd’s decision’s about my concerns. I feel very comfortable & respect him. I go by how the doctor makes me feel when I have a complaint & concern about my knees & hip & what’s the best thing to do. I truly appreciate him & I am so glad that he’s the doctor that takes care of me.

Dr Byrd is a very experienced doctor that cares about his patients
I had total hip replacement surgery. I was walking again as soon as one day and had very lil discomfort from surgery. I will definitely use him again when I need other hip done. The staff at Sentara Princess Ann went above and beyond to accommodate any problems I had as well. Great medical group and doctor.

Very honest very sincere and the options up to the patient he's not knife happy knife happy means he's not ready to operate he wants you to make the decision he give you the choices he's not a pushy type of person
The doc was very nice very honest very sincere he wasn't knife happy night happy means not ready to operate he's giving me choices and very cool person to deal with somebody would meet in a restaurant a bar and drink a beer with that type of personality very nice good job
