Excellent Doctor and Excellent Experience
Dr. Smith performed an ACDF at the C5, 6, and 7 area. I was extremely nervous about doing it, especially during Covid. I texted him with a lot of questions, before and after the surgery; he always answered. I am so happy I got it done. The intense and constant pain I had in my neck is gone, the pain in my arm is almost gone and is getting better every day. I am moving and extremely active and I often forget, I had this surgery less than a year ago. I had many different medical professionals ask me who did the surgery and every time they heard it was Dr. Smith, they would say he is the best in El Paso. I do agree! Seeing the X-Ray months later, it is still showing progress with clear definition that the surgery was done with expertise. He is a very nice man and very easy to talk to. After 30 some years of dealing with this pain, I finally have relief!

Great communication and what to expect
For my 6th surgery everything went great from pre-op, during, and post op. Didn't have any complications or side effects but if I did I know the staff and provider would have been there for me.

Dr. Smith was very thorough in his explanation on the treatment I would be receiving. He explained his step of the procedure and went over it again at the hospital before my surgery. His bedside manner was one of the best as well. I am so thankful for Dr. Smith for giving me my life back. :)

Extremely pleased
I have been in pain for many years now and I've had two previous back surgeries with Dr. Smith. As with the previous surgeries Dr. Smith has been amazing and now the pain is gone.
