Responsive and attentive. Very skillful.
Dr.Payne was caring and professional. Very willing to answer questions. His skill and ability provided me with comfort and assurance. The outcome of my total hip replacement has been a relief from pain and a means to improve my mobility. I would recommend him to anyone needing this kind of surgery.

Well planned and executed procedure and follow-up.
Information and administrative requirements prior to the surgery were comprehensive and easy to follow. Scheduling and follow-up staff were personable and professional. Surgeon and anesthesiologist identified the procedures to be followed and answered questions in an easy to understand manner. Post-op physical therapy technicians were professional and provided recommended procedures to maximize joint recovery.

Dr. Payne and his staff took excellent care of me.
Dr. Payne and his staff were very helpful in explaining what I need to do and what the diagnosis is. I know what is expected of me to be able to get the surgery done that I need. Also, my wallet had fell out of my pants in the examination room and I didn't realize it until I left, by then the office was closed. Dr. Payne's nurse found it and called to tell me she had it and waited for me to get back to the office to get it.

Dr Payne was prompt to the exam room after my Xrays. He took time to show me where in my knee i had the problem.
I likely need a knee replacement. However the Dr. Is trying steroid shot and Rx for 60 days to see how my knee responds. The only thing is it took WAY
to long to check in with the front desk.

SMOOTH HIP REPLACEMENT AND MORE
Last year I suffered a stress fracture of my right femoral neck. Another Doctor from Atlantic Orthopedic operated in Feb 2020 and inserted three long screws to hold the bone together until the stress fracture healed. Even after several months the femoral neck was now jammed into the hip socket causing bone on bone pain. In July Dr. Payne removed the screws and then completed a total hip replacement. Since Dr. Shall left the practice, I am now seeing Dr. Payne for my knees also (left knee operated on/bad since 11/2001, right knee started 4/2019). Dr. Payne is also very efficient. I only see one other doctor who sees me within a few minutes of arriving like Dr. Payne does. THAT is a major plus!
