Life changing
Dr Haines did an outstanding job diagnosing and repairing my thoracic disc herniation. He answered all my questions honestly and explained the diagnosis and the procedure to repair my spine in a straightforward, understandable way. He was very honest about the risks of the procedure and the potential outcomes with and without the surgery.

AMAZING and Full Recovery
Today 11/08/19 marks my 1 year medical procedure and today i'm fully recovered and healed. I'm so grateful and thankful to Dr. Haines and his amazing dedicated staff. Total satisfaction with the entire process.
Dr. Haines is the most trustworthy physician I have experienced. His knowledge and demeanor gave me great expectations as to the surgical outcome to fix my problems and those expectations were more than met. Exceptional compassionate doctor that listens and truly cares.
I met Dr. Haines over two years ago because of an injury I experienced 27 years ago. I was in pain, scared in-addition didn't know where my treatment was going to lead me.
Every visit with him and his staff has been exceptional, professional and genuine. I learned a few months ago that my spine condition go worst and I needed to consider surgery.
Because I really was at the point of no return, I decided to have surgery. I knew I was with the BEST doctor that I have encountered in my lifetime and it was time.
I am now post op two weeks out......this is the best decision I ever made. I am on my way to full recovery to being myself again. Thank you Doctor Haines you are God sent.

Dr. Haines is awesome!
Before I saw Dr. Haines, none of my other doctors were providing me with any hope for my injuries sustained in my car accident. I had dealt with pain for almost six years in my lower back as well as my neck. The day I met Dr. Haines, he agreed with me that I had been in pain for too long, and that he could help me become pain free. Today, Oct. 2019, I am pain free and a few weeks out from a one level fusion surgery for my lower back. We are also taking care of my neck pain with RFAs, and that has gone well also. Dr. Haines was a God send for me! I am so happy I decided to come to VSI for treatment, and I am grateful for Dr. Haines!

Stellar, professional, and successful.
Provided an alternative to surgery that actual worked. Lower back pain has nagged me for a few years, and Dr. Haines offered a stem cell treatment that would not require surgery. I took the risk (and, unfortunately due to lack of insurance coverage, financial hit), but it was totally worth it. 6 weeks after the procedure, I feel great and have no pain.

Greatest Doctor!! I recommend him 100%
Dr. Hanes not only fixed my spine problems, he assured everything to turn out fantastic through his abundance of positivity, enthusiasm, and confidence that is greatly demonstrated through his expertise and tremendous knowledge in his field. This worked out greatly and I feel happy it was with Dr. Hanes and not any other doctor!

Excellent experience with the entire staff, I have zero complaints!
From the beginning Dr. Haines was very through and professional. He listened to my complaint, provided suggestions and addressed all of my concerns. The staff from reception to physical therapy was also extremely professional. The only complaint I have is on me. I should have had the surgery much sooner!

Amazing Dr Haines
Two weeks ago I had a L2-L3 fusion, hardware removal and at lease 2 decompressions. I was walking without a walker in the hospital after both surgeries. Now at 2 weeks post I have almost 0 pain and to look at me you'd never know I had surgery. I feel more than blessed to have been led to Dr Haines! He is awesome and would recommend him 100%!

Precision
Dr.Haines was found to be at the highest level of professionalism, expertise and overall care as have all the doctors I have been with at VSI. They are designed specifically to not be run by insurance companies but focus only on the patience health. When dealing with who to trust with my spine problems I chose VSI because of their attention to detail. Thank you VSI

Six Month Update - Multilevel ACDF
Feeling great, back to 100%. The team at VSI is amazing. Dr. Haines is an exceptional surgeon. My quality of life was severely impacted before making the decision to have surgery. Outstanding Care
Dr. Colin Haines' overall care was outstanding. He took the time to do testing, make a plan for my care, explained it in detail, and the outcome has me back on my feet.
I arrived with unbearable pain and after Dr. Haines' treatment I am on the mend and road to recovery.

Dr. Haines is the best!
Dr.Haines was the most amazing surgeon that I have ever met. He was very confident and reassuring going into my surgery. He met with us before surgery and then met with my family after the surgery. However, the most amazing part of my surgery was waking up in recovery. I knew that I had immediate relief from my pain. This was the best! Dr. Haines is the very best! Thank you, Dr. Haines!

VSI amazed me! I never received awesome care like this before!
My experience here has been amazing! I felt immediate relief after my first surgery. I never expected to feel that good coming out of the recovery. Dr. Haines is a great surgeon! He is very caring of his patients. He was incredible! I don't have enough kind words to describe him. I have had many surgeries and I have never been treated this kindly and with so much respect. I don't know how to thank all of the people at VSI!

Dr Haines Cured My Pain
Totally satisfactory experience. I had tremendous pain in my lumbar region and down my left leg for several years which was getting progressively worse. VSI and Dr. Haines accurately diagnosed the issue and fixed me. The post-op recovery was challenging for several weeks but slowly, the surgical pain disappeared and in less than 3 months post-op, I was completely off ALL pain meds.

Never felt better, during hospital I felt like I was on vacation. Healing process the following week was minimal. I went back to work in my office on Wednesday.

great outcome from an truly expert in his field
Dr. Haines put my mind to rest from day one. i had no idea of what to expect from a three level back fusion. I was concerned about quality of life after the surgery and potential risk during. His team of experts a long with the hospital team of professionals made this entire experience a cake walk. If you are considering back surgery, VSI is the place to have it done.

Was great experience; before surgery I was somewhat limited in what I could do. I know that I will never be back to where I was before injury, even though I am somewhat limited I am so much better since surgery. I really thank Dr. Haines and staff of VSI for my recovery and feeling so much better.

Dr. Haines took great care of me before and after the surgery . I'm greatful that he was the one to perform my surgery.
My experience has been wonderful , everything went very smooth from office visits to the surgery. All the staff here is very friendly. They took the time to explain everything to me regarding the surgery and recovery process to get me back to what i love doing. I couldnt be happier with my decision of Virginia Spine Institute.
